Dax's Journal

Hello all!

Well we got relay for life over and I believe it was a good success! Our church team (which my wife is captain i.e. workhorse) rasied well over $2500. We were the only group grilling hamburgers and we made about $800 on those last night! Of course you favorite shrinking man was the grill chef. I should have been being as I am so experienced with Atkins and my daily burgers at dinner! I have to say though, I was a little disappointed in the turnout for RFR. They changed the time for the race which I think was a big mistake what with graduations and end of schools right now. It was nice to see old friends though! At about 1:00 am I walked around the track with a friend for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Nothing stressful but a bout a 16 minutes mile pace.

Well today is mowing day which I really hate. I have horrible allergies during the month of May and the last three days have been rough.

Well I can't remember if I have already told this, but I am down to 261 so I guess that means new clippie!:thewave:

Well this board has been great and I hope everyone continues with their new lifestyles!

The incredible shrinking one!

Hello again everyone!

Well this morning on the scale, (nekkid in Kentucky) I was 259 after basketball last night. I have also started running again. I got 2 miles in day before yesterday and tonight. I jog 1 mile and then walk a mile and then jog another. I've reached the point where I can continuosly job for the whole mile now, that is really exciting!

Gotta run!

The incredible shrinking one!

Dax

That is awesome that you can continually jog for the mile. That is really hard work. I admire the people at the gym that do that. They sweat like crazy but you can tell their workout is awesome!

Way to go Dax!
I really admire people who can jog/run any distance. I really enjoy working out, but running and I just don't get along. I've thought about trying again to add jogging to my workout schedule, but DH reminded me that jogging would not do any favors for my knee.

How is your wife doing? We are all eagerly awaiting the birth of your baby. It seems like there has been a baby boom lately. Two of my very good friends have given birth in the last week and a half. Both boys. Please let us know when your baby is born.

Have a great day and keep up the good work!

Thanks guys,

Well the update on everything...where to begin...

The inlaws have come up from Mississippi to help out w/ DS 3 1/2 years old. We go and DW will be having a c-section Friday morning at about 8 am. It is really exciting to be this close.

I may have already covered this, but if it is a girl it will be Olivia Grace Myhand, if a boy it will either be Houston or Beckham Myhand, we just can't make our mind up on the boy name.

What do you guys think of Beckham? We got it from the English soccer player David Beckham (even neither of us are soccer fans). Quick funny story, I was telling my dad about the choices of names and after hearing Beckham he said, "Why don't you just pick a normal name" to which I replied, "yeah, like Dax is pretty normal" I thought it was funny.

Anyway let me know what you guys think!

The incredible shrinking one!

Dax

Dax,
How exciting! Your family will be in our prayers as you await your new arrival.::yes::

As for names.... I don't know much about David Beckham, but I really like the name Houston. It is such a strong name. It's a name that your son can grow into as a man. Plus, it's unique. (Just like Dax!:teeth: ) I absolutely love the name that you and your wife have picked out for a girl. ::yes:: It is a beautiful name and a reminder of the amazing grace that the Lord bestows on us each day.

Well, Dax... take a deep breath and get ready. In less than 24 hours, you'll be a proud papa once again. God's best to you all!

Tracy:wave2:

Dax, I'm thinking of you! I'm hoping all is well with your wife and new baby, sending up prayers that both are happy and healthy.

Can't wait to hear if your DS has a new brother or sister and what name you finally decided on.

Sending many good wishes your way!

Well, as you can imagine, things have been hectic, but we have a baby girl! Olivia Grace born Friday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. She weighed 6 lb. 7 oz. and baby and mother are both doing great!

Well gotta run, moma is calling!

The incredible shrinking one!

Dax

Congratulations Dax!!:Pinkbounc I am so glad to hear that mom and Olivia are doing well.::yes:: Please know that you will continue to be in our prayers.

Welcome princess: Olivia Grace!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hey everyone! Well as you can imagine things are wild!!!!

Olivia's billirubin (i think that is correct?!?) was elevated and we had to place her under lamps and let me tell you that was an ordeal! I got about an hour and a half's sleep and I think DW got about 45 minutes. Good news, the bilirubin was down and we got to rest today, hopefully it will stay down on her visit tommorrow!

I will be going back to work tommorrow for the first time since the birth.

Gotta run!

the incredible shrinking one!

Dax

Congratulations:Pinkbounc What a beautiful name, Olivia Grace-your new little princess.

My DS had newborn jaundice also- seems to be a more & more common these days- hopefully she will just need some lamp time and sunshine and be all better!
Will keep her and your family in my prayers.
