Who else was crying? Michelle Williams and the rest of the cast did such a great job. Even DH was tearing up and he doesn't watch this show! LOL!

I also liked the "who did she choose" ending. Really a great final show! :D :D :D

It was sad!!!
I wish she would have picked Dawson!!! I cant believe that Jen died, that is so sad! Who was her babys father? I didnt see about the first hour, but my sister filled me in. That was the one thing she didnt know!
I cant believe that show is gone for good!:(

I missed the first half hour so I do not know who Jen's babies Father is.
I am glad Joey picked Pacey. I always liked them together. :)
Does anyone know who the little blonde boy was? I thought Jen had twins for a little while.

Spoiler for those who did not watch it yet!!!!!

I started watching this show when it first aired so many years ago now. I did not keep up with it over all the years, but felt compelled to watch the series finale. I hate finales. I always bawl, just like I did on this one. I actually LOVED the way they ended it, although I could have done without the KIA commercial (and others) every 7 minutes. When I heard about how it would end, with Joey finally making a decision and someone dying, I have to say that I hoped Jen would be the one killed off. I never liked her character from the moment she came to the show. I think they ended her life wonderfully though. Even for people who never liked her character, I felt that she died in the right way. A way which allowed her character some necessary closure. I couldn't imagine any one of the other characters dying. I also really thought Joey should end up with Pacey. They were right together in a way that she and Dawson just weren't, but the way they "settled" things between them (Joey and Dawson) was perfect. A great finale!! I think I cryed through every scene.

dancergirl- I think that the father of Jen's baby was not a character on the show. Jen mentioned that she was impregnated and left by her boyfriend. I assumed since this episode took place 5 years into the future, that it was someone she met and got involved with recently.

On a side note I am glad that the flighty blond girl Pacey dated (her name escapes me at the moment, I did not enjoy her character) was not in the final episode. I never felt she belong with the group, and I am glad that they ended it with original characters (plus Jack) and were reminiscing about things that occured in the beginning of the show as opposed to in the recent past.

Jenn- I think the blond girl (about 6 years old or so) was Dawson's mother's daughter, and I think the young dark haired boy (Alexander I think) may have been Joey's sister's son. Anyone who knows more can correct me.

We dont get the WB and I have been watching all the shows on TBS in the am, how does Jenn die? and did Joey and Pacey get married? thanks

Jen had some heart problem that was making her lungs fail, so she was not a candidate for a transplant, and her medication was not helping enough. She found this out after she gave birth to her daughter. No Pacey and Joey did not get married. The big wedding was for Dawson's mother, that is why everyone had come back to the creek. The scene in the previews where it looks like Joey and Dawson are at their own wedding was a dream Dawson was having.

Thanks so much I hope they show this on TBS. Was Gram on the show? and what about Jacks sister the one that dated Pacey at the beginning of the show. I liked her best with Pacey.

Gram was on the show. She and Jen were getting along very well, but they mentioned that Gram's health was not good at all. Jack was the baby's god father and he decided to take on the responsibilities of raising baby Amy. Andie (Jack's sister) was not on the show, although I had heard a rumor she would be on the show. Pacey's brother turned out to be gay too and was with Jack. The other girl Pacey had been dating was said to be a back up singer for John Mayer (I think) and dating someone "great." Joey's sister was on the show, and Dawson's mother was on the show...I think that was all of the "original" characters who came back.

I liked the show but thought it was a little sad. I understand the writers need to kill someone off, but in that case, did they need to make her have a baby too! How depressing! I didn't like that part. Also, is Dawson's father dead? I haven't watched the show in a long time, but I noticed at the wedding he said to his mom that his dad would be happy for her too. Just curious. I'm glad Joey chose Pacey too.

I must admit I have not watched this season until last night. I really liked the way they ended everything but when Jen made the video for her daughter I about lost it! I agree with Disney845 that I'm happy they didn't put the blonde girl in the finale because I didn't think she really fit in. Great show!

I have never watched this how for more than 5 minutes, yet I know everything you are talking about from watching promos over the years before Felicity. Weird huh? One question, who was the guy Joey was with in the first few minutes of the show, when she was watching the Dawson's Creek spin-off.

minnie824 Dawson's father died last season. I think it was of a heart attack cant remember.

I cried through the whole show. It just made me want to give my baby a hug and kiss and never let her go.

I really like the way the ended the show.

hey Disney845...e-mail me!!!

ok...on to dawson's creek...

i cried like a baby!!! my DH just kept rolling his eyes at me. i was always a dawson/joey fan, but i guess the ending suited the show well. i lost it when jenn was talking to pacey about how angry she was getting...it was so sad!

the guy that joey was with in the beginning was just someone she became involved with there in new york.

when they announced that someone would die in the finale, i knew it would be jenn. i think they flashed a picture of the four main characters in the promo for it...and i knew that it wouldn't be joey, dawson, or pacey. they had to have them to resolve their triangle.

overall, i guess i was happy with the ending. it was just so sad!!!

I think Dawson's dad died in a car accident... if I remember correctly... he went to the corner store to get soda or something.....

Okay, I just finished watching last night's finale because I couldn't watch last night and I was bawling my eyes out! I think it was a great ending to the series but it was SO sad! I always liked Jen. I'm glad Joey picked Pacey in the end too. I have been watching this show since the first season and I was so surprised to hear it came out in 1998. I thought for sure I was still in high school when I first started watching but apparently I was almost 21! Seems longer than that. :( I'm gonna miss my Dawson's Creek.

katerbell,
Yes, Mitch did die in a car accident. Gail asked him to go to the store and pick up some milk. On the way home, he was eating an ice-cream cone and the ice-cream tumbled onto the floor. He looked down to pick it up and drove into the path of a car going the other way.

It was a car accident. He was eating ice cream or something and it fell off while he was driving, went to retrieve it and hit a car.

I cried like a baby throughout this episode. I hadn't watched much of this season, I felt as though it was the time for the series to end. I don't understand how Joey can be "soulmates" with Dawson, yet wind up with Pacey? I don't think that I myself would be able to live like that. Confusing situation that I think would continue throughout their lives.

Does anyone know where I can get the script of the final episode? There were some good quotes.

You could try www.dawsonscreek.com . I'm not sure if they will have the final script or not but I know they are doing a huge auction of all kinds of stuff from the show. They also have a "lines to remember" section that might have some of the quotes you're looking for.
