Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom

HELP,

May seem an odd question but....Does anyone know the bartenders names at the Dawa Bar in Harambe? They always remember us (due to a VERY memorable occurance a the Dawa Bar one trip), but I am sad to say I can't recall any of their names. Although there are several, we always seem to hit the same guy/gal team. They work very well together. Off to Animal Kingdom in 9 days and I wouild love it if someone can help me out here.

Wow a question I can answer.
The main 2 are Bryan and Sharon. Been there since opening and just great people.
They rotate with Pat and one or two others that I don’t know very well.
If you drop by tell them Russell will be in on the 5th of December. I am in the Dawa book but don’t have my number here at work.

Thanks so much...those are the two I was thinking of. They are special folks. Makes it feel like a neighborhood bar!

We will be there on the 4th but with the whole family. Will let Sharon know to expect you. I was thinking that Bryan spells his name differently, like maybe Bryon, but after a couple "Lost on Safaris" who can say for sure!

Is the Dawa bar the one at Jiko? because we just returned from a trip there and chatted with Brian for a LOOONG time...and I am pretty sure his name was spelled "Brian." he was so nice, was telling us how he has worked at WDW for so long, starting at the Contemporary Pool Bar. I think Sharon was his side kick. they were both friendly and fun to talk to!

Have fun Artemus! I am so jealous you are on your way to the AKL! That place is great!

The Dawa Bar is in the Animal Kingdom park...in Harambe, on the left as you are walking towards the safari. From what you have written about your visit, I think you would have loved it! A friend of mine and I hung out there part of an afternoon back in January and had a blast. And Bryon and Sharon were the bartenders that day, too!

I always visit this bar for a afternoon cool-down and love their drinks! At one point years ago, it was Sharon and Jackie who ran that but now Jackie has been over at the Typhoon Lagoon bar for a while now and I just normally see Sharon and Brian at the Dawa Bar.

If ever over at Typhoon Lagoon, give Jackie a "Hi" for me.....she's a doll! And if over at the Dawa Bar give my hi to Sharon and Brian..they are a great team!

Whoops! I got confused! What is the name of the bar in Jiko? I know it has a name. Well, anyway, those bartenders were really friendly! I will have to check out that Dawa bar...sounds like my kinda place!

They must have been there in Feb. 2001, cause it was a very cold and rainy day, and about 11:00am they were not quite open yet, but I needed something to WARM up with. They happily obliged me a rum and coke! I warmed up than, thats for sure!
