We have booked a 1 bed cabin for 2 nights, i have read loads of reviews that say upgrade to a 2 bed it's worth the extra, well it's only about £30 which is fine, but our 2 children sleep walk and looking at the plans the 2 beds have got one bedroom either end of the cabin, we are probably over protective but this worries us slightly, i would feel happier with them in the same room but would like a nicer cabin, also us sleeping on the sofa bed is probably out of the question unless it's very comfy due to my husbands bad back, he always suffers on sofa beds. So shall i just stay in 1 bed and hope it's ok?

Personally I'd go for the two bedroom cabin as they are much nicer and appear to have been refurbished recently.

Ours in December was flawless and the only time I've stayed in a Disney Hotel that didn't seem a little run-down (well since the late 1990's anyway)

The question of sleepwalking is a difficult one. Maybe you could have yourself on the sofa bed and your husband in the other bedroom :thumbsup2

I don't think that the sofa bed would be very good for someone with back problems tbh although my 70yr old Grandparents used to sleep on one back in the 1990's

Hi, we stayed in a 1 bed for 4 nights in oct last year. If I'm honest it was not the most pleasent accomodation I've ever stayed in! The other part of our family (grandparents and sister) stayed in a 2 bed cabin at the same time. The 2 bed was a lot nicer decor than ours. Ours was a bit minging as the toilet was leaking so the smell in the bathroom wasn't great! The whole cabin could have done with a refurb, but, we were in exactly the same postion as you with the kids sleepwalking, and even with the 2 bed being A LOT better decor I would still choose the 1 bed so I could keep an ear out for the kids. In fact we are just about to book another 1 bed for march, safety came first over comfort!!
It is clean though, the bathroom was the main downside. The beds/bedroom were spotless and at the end of the day we don't go to Disney to sit in the accomodation do we?
If we can stay in them for 4 nights I'm sure you will be fine for 2!

Are they safe in bunkbeds if they sleepwalk? Sorry I have no experience of sleepwalking but my son still had night terrors when we were at DCR last February. I had no trouble hearing him at the other end of the cabin (they aren't that big LOL), I just kept both doors open a bit. The sofabed is a proper one meant for sleeping BTW, ie a proper fold out one with springs.
Mind you even in the 2 bed our toilet smelt a bit too.

Our daughter who is 9 has got a high bed at home, we always said no to one because of the sleep walking, then it stopped for about 6 months so we got her one, the sleep walking has started again and she gets down the ladder fine, thankfully!!
I think i am going to stick with the 1 bed, it's only for 2 nights and like somebody said safety first, they are both very quiet when they sleep walk, when we were in Florida in a double bed next to them we didn't hear her get up, luckily my husband heard the door squeak as it was closing and she was walking up the corridor of the hotel!!

One beds are fine though it is a few years since we stayed in one. we gave the bedroom to the kids & DH & I slept on the bed in the lounge. It wasn't a sofa bed it pulled down from the wall & was very comfy

Hi, as suggested above, the 2 bed cabins certainly seem to have been a safer bet over recent years.

However, we stayed in a 1 bed last time and it was spotless, and had clealy been refurbished as well.

We've often booked a 1 bed, and been upgraded to a 2 bed with nothing said!

Regardless, if you're not happy about the state of your cabin, just call reception and ask for a different one ;)

Hi:wave2:
We stayed in a 1 bed last year and it was smashing!! We had a 4 night stay, and we were never there except to collapse into bed at night!!
It was clean and cosy, we loved it!:thumbsup2
