hello all, haven't needed to post for ages as have been happily getting info from all the other posts on here! But my 1st trip to DLP is only 2 weeks away now!!! I'm sorted for first 2 nights as in Castle Club (can't WAIT) but then moving to Davy Crockett for 4 more nights to stretch the budget.

What I'm wondering is do I need to pack swimming towels, a hairdryer, and anything kitchen-related, like drying up cloths, washing up liquid etc. Shame to be thinking such domestic things, but it's such a waste to have to buy things like that when you could bring them for free!

Any advice gratefully received
Angie

You can rent towels at the pool. Not sure if there are hairdryers but sure you could rent one (you can rent a kettle too) if you don't want to bring one. You need a teatowel, and there aren't any dish-washing things although you get a voucher for a 'washing kit' which you can collect at the shop. We never collected ours so I can't tell you whats in it I'm afraid - when we were around, at night, the parking around there was always awful. There is a dishwasher so you might want to bring a couple of dishwasher tablets. Linen and bath towels are included.

the washing up kit contains dishwasher tablets and stain removal solution (mysterious!) and a j-cloth.
you need your easy-pass to collect it.
you can rent towels at the pool for 2 euro or hide hotel ones in the bottom of your bag. we brought some with us though just to have enough for swimming twice a day without having to pay 2 euro each.
i think it's cyrano who recommends a sharp knife and he's right - if you need to slice meat, fish etc the knife is a bit blunt.
i wished i had a grater at one point but got over it.
i used the fruit bowl for cooking as there were no other big bowls.

DP took her hair dryer.
We took dish towel, towels for swimming, dishwasher tablets and yes a set of sharp knives :)
The kitchen is faily well appointed. Pots, kettle, coffee filter maker, salad dishes, crockery and cutlery.
Oh and we took a salt/pepper travel set :thumbsup2

There were hair driers in the pool changing area but Im not sure how good they were as Id taken my own.

There is a kettle in the cabin but ours didnt work so we used a pan to boil the water.
