I have had my issues with David's Bridal dating back to January when I tried to find a dress there only to discover that there were only 7 dresses in my size in the entire store. (And they were hideous!)

I found a dress at another location, but David's bridal sold my name and number to several "sister companies". I have been getting 2-4 calls a day! Do I want their photographer? videographer? Getting things in the mail about invitations and everything else.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? How did you make them stop?

A word to brides who are thinking of going to David's- I would give them a fake number as the primary and maybe another number as your work contact (they have never called my work number once). hope this can save someone from this hassle!

Are you on the "Do not call" list? If you are you can tell the callers to remove you from their list or you will report them. That usually gets them to stop.

Good luck!

There is a small check box on the info sheet they give you to opt-out of things.

I actually got a call from a local resturant and I asked if they delivered to Orlando and I haven't gotten any calls since. You can also go back to David's Bridal and ask for them to remove you and they'll just have you sign a form.

I'm just gald I didn't put DFi on the form. My friend's DFi gets 3-4 calls a day about tuxes and other stuff.

The biggest mistake I ever did was put my address on a bridal expo form. Oy vey, I have gotten, and STILL get postcards and flyers all the time from photographers and videographers, florists, etc...and they are CHICAGO based  I agree. Give no one your name and number.

Im must have registered for a Davids Bridal give a way months ago...so I gave them my real name and number...since then I have received phone calls, postcards, email, not stop annoying stuff...and still no sign of if I won the contest:rotfl:yes but I do understand it is a horrible:confused3

I bought my reception dress at Davids Bridal and had the worst service EVER. We actually called corporate and our issue was so bad it got to the vice president of the company. It's straightened out now, but I would NEVER rec. them to anyone! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

Just had to reply. We have had no problems and excellent service from the David's bridal in Slidell, Louisiana. This is our second go round with them (my daughter came here to get her bridal gown and now my future DIL has gotten hers there). They were courteous and very helpful. We have not had any calls from other vendors, no extra mail, no emails, nothing. We went last year, just after they got engaged and she didn't find the right dress. Since we had until 2010 that wasn't a problem. We recently went back and found her dress. Between the two times we had I believe one phone call from our consultant to tell us that the one bridesmaid dress she liked was being discontinued, but that has been it. I think it depends on your location and what you are looking for.

Granted it was 2 years ago but we bought oldest DD's wedding dress from there, and never again will I step foot in there! The entire thing was a nightmare. I actually ended up blowing up in the middle of the store. I just lost it and started yelling. I don't care how much it costs in the future when youngest DD gets married her dress will not be from David's rip off.

I agree about David's Bridal. We went there and it was a zoo. My daughter tried on a dress that she liked but when we asked about ordering it they said that if they have the size in stock they sell it to us right then and there. We didn't want a dress that had been tried on several times and even some of the lace was falling off and the dress needed a good cleaning. They said they would fix it and clean it for us but we said no way. We wanted to order a new one in that size and they said they wouldn't. Who wants a dress that has been tried on, soiled and needed fixing? We went somewhere else and found the most beautiful dress!!! and had a very good experience with the store as well. We would not recomment David's Bridal.
