Hello everyone!

I was wondering about the dresses offered at David's Bridal... I really love one that is currently available, but we're not planning our wedding until 2010. What are the chances this dress will still be available closer to that date? Or should I secretly buy it sooner than later??

TIA! :goodvibes

I have noticed that many of the dresses at David's Bridal have been around for a few years. My cousin got married in 2005 and my dress is still available as are the others I tried on.

From what I can tell they keep their most popular styles around, but possibly changing them slightly. I had never seen the dress I bought before that day and I had been looking. I could be wrong though... :confused3

Have you auctually tried the dress on or do you just like it from pictures? I am only asking because if you hadn't tried it on I think you should go and try it because you may find out you don't like it like you thought you did. I bought something completely different than what I wanted.
If you still love it you should ask yourself some questions. Will I still love it in 2 years? Are you willing to stop looking at dresses if you buy this one?
I just went with my BFF to look at dresses. She had no intentions of buying a dress since her wedding isn't until May 1st 2010. Well she found a dress that she LOVED. It was DC'd so it couldn't be ordered and if she wanted it she pretty much had to get it or chance ordering it online. She decided that she would love it in 2 years just as much as she did right then so she got it. It's up to you if you want to order it so far in advance. I purchased mine 18 months in advance as well and have not regretted it one bit. It is totally up to you and how you feel. Good luck. BTW...which dress is it? You should post a picture.

I agree, try it on girl! I swore updown and sideways that I did NOT want a sweetheart neckline and I wanted sleeves... lo and behold, I wound up with a sleeveless sweetheart... as much as you think you know what you like, you really have to see it on you. Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

DD did the same thing, last year we went to David's just for fun. The dresses she thought she like, she didn't once she tried them on. And the one she feel in love with, she didn't like it on the hanger. She just got engaged, not until Jan 2010, but we found the dress on EBay and got a $899 for $100 and it included the crinolin. Just be careful. I talked to the seller a few times and we are tickled pink that the dress is done and at a discount.:cool1:

I totally agree, try the dress on first, things don't look the same until you try it on. It may be that you don't really like a dress on the hanger, but when you try it on, that is the dress for you.

I am from the UK and bought my dress from Davids a whole 13 month's before the weeding. It was still perfect when I went back the following year. They held the dress for me and I just had alterations when I got out there.

Try on and keep trying and you will know when you find the one!!!
:thumbsup2
