I really can't figure out why the family wants an FBI investigation. I mean really? Do they really want to know what he was doing? I know that him be remembered as committing suicide is not good, but things are now looking pretty sketchy, and just wild! Is being remembered for that any better:confused3

I know the details will get out no matter what. It's really just such a shame.

Something hinky happened in Bangkok. They probably do not have the best CSI investigators. Carradine probably let someone into his hotel room.

Who knows, it might have been someone posing as a fan, but who really hated him for portraying Asians, when he was actually not Asian at all. Weird coincidence that his death is in an Asian country.

But, your right, I hope this doesn't turn out to be deaths like George Reeves or Bob Crane.

DH's said that exact thing when Carradine's death was announced--before the other stuff came out. Personally, I think he pissed off the wrong person.

I was sorry to read about his death.

There has been some strange and conflicting information. Something the ex-wife said years ago (mentioned in the news lately) seems pertinent to what happened. Don't know how his hands were tied behind his back and he reportedly was alone.

Things seem amiss, but who knows?

I think that being into kink is a lot better than giving up.

The one thing everyone has said is that he was NOT the type to commit suicide, maybe they'd rather a ruling of Autoerotic Asphyxiation by accident than suicide.

You hear about kids doing the choking game well it's just as dangerous in the adult version.

At least that's what it sounds like he was doing to me. It's actually a risk for people who partcipate in this to accidently die.

I watched the Mental episode last night and they had the previews for next weeks show and Carradine will be in it.

I heard he died but haven't kept up on all the ins and outs of it.

That is what I have heard suggested as well.

I'd rather get to the bottom of what really happened, if I were his family. And I'd rather he not be remembered for "suicide". In fact, in work yesterday, the "men" I work with were impressed that at age 72 he was still ... ahem ... into it ... if you know what I mean! ;) They were upset that he died, but well ... amazed too!

Ugh! Another Michael Hutchence! Sad...:sad1:

I don't really care how he died. Dead is dead.

But I liked Kung Fu. RIP, Grasshopper.

I saw about 5 minutes about David Carradine on Larry King Live and one of the guests said that the family told him that David was very interested in exposing secret societies and they wondered if that had anything to do with death.

I recently read two sites that state Carradine's hands were tied above his head. (These are different reports as I read his hands were tied behind his back before.) Not sure how he could tie his hands above his head.

If I were a family member, I'd want to be very sure it wasn't murder. I'd want the person (or persons) responsible brought to justice and I'd want to preserve Carradine's image. The second autopsy might reveal more.

Also, the insurance policy they have is one reason for knowing exactly what happened. If it was suicide there would be no benefit. If it was an accident, in some cases it would double the benefit. I don't know what would occur if it were murder.

** Supposedly a picture of Carradine in his distressed state was leaked to the press and published on some sites. I read about it. I haven't seen it, nor do I want to.

Yup- as soon as suicide was pretty much ruled out, I thought of Michael Hutchense- he was found with a noose around his neck, too. His death was ruled accidental- he was into the kink of auto-asphyxiation. Sadly, it sounds more and more like that's what happened to David Carradine

I agree, it will definately make a difference to the insurance company.

Who on earth would leak pictures like that - just sick :sad2:

That's true, a death by suicide would be preferred by the insurance company. But, I would want to get to the bottom of it, if I were the family, even if the results are embarrassing. We live in a liberal society now and these things are no longer the shame they once were.

I wonder what the family thinks the FBI could do. The FBI has no jurisdiction in Thailand.

No, but they are probably better investigators, forensics & CSI teams. Especially if there may have been foul play & a cover up involved. Thailand, or a foreign country may have turned out to be the perfect place to kill someone.

If the FBI had been allowed to get in on the Natalee Halloway case from the beginning, the poor girl's body may have been found and a murderer might be in jail now. Now, that was a case really bungled because of lack of experienced brought in to handle the case. :sad2:
