David Bloom of NBC has died...

...of an apparent pulmonary embolism. He was 39 years old and had 3 daughters. I just heard this on the news. He was one of the few reporters on "the big 3" that I liked. Prayers for his family.

This had me in tears this morning. He was one of the few reporters that I watched tell the stories of the War. He was such a well liked man. My heart goes out to his wife and 3 daughters!

So very sad!!! I really enjoyed his reports. He will be truely missed. You could tell he had so much respect for the men and women of "his" unit.

I was so shocked and saddened by this news....

I loved being off on the weekends because I could catch him and Soledad O'Brien cutting up during 'Weekend Today'. Yet he was an utter professional at his work, and a compassionate human being at the same time.

The world will be a sadder place without him......
