Davey and Goliath

Have you ever watched this show about the claymation boy and his dog? I grew up watching it (usually on Sunday mornings), it was a nice show that always taught good Biblical principals.
I can still here Goliath (who talked only to Davey) saying "Daaveeyy"

I never sat down and watched it, though I did see bits and pieces from time to time. The Simpsons did a nice spoof on it.

I loved that show. They have it out on DVD and I got it for my kids. They love it too.

I had to google it to see if it rang a bell, but it didn't. I don't recall ever seeing that show, which is too bad, because I probably would have enjoyed it as a child.

I recently saw it again on the religion channel. I used to watch it all the time growing up and never even knew that it had religious ties.

Jot was this bouncing dot that taught religious values. They have never shown it as reruns.

It might be kind of like "Ultraman" where the show tape was destroyed and they were unable to save it.

I was always partial to "Bigfoot and Wildboy" and "Lance Link"...can't remember whether or not they were Christian shows, though?

My boys never heard of Bigfoot and Wildboy, so I looked it up on You Tube. They thought it was funny even though it wasn't supposed to be.

I have 3 dvd sets of Davey and Goliath. We watched it a couple of times.

I watched it every Sunday before church. I remember it being on ridiculouly early but I'd get up just to watch it. Loved that show!

I watched both Davey and Jot. Didn't they follow each other? Or was Jot an addition to Davey? Anyway,I really did enjoy both programs.

One of the dvds we have first shows some guys playing horns, then it shows Davey and Goliath shooting off a rocket that spells out the title of the show. I'm not sure about the ending.

The older dvd we have has a different beginning, but I can't remember the beginning.

My son liked the episode where Davey runs away because his father didn't immediately help him, instead helping Sally fix her carriage before the parade.
I'm thinking that's the same episode with the twins that finish each others sentences and have abnormally long arms.

DH and I had this discussion just the other day! We both grew up watching it. On another note, what brought up our discussion was there was a really bad spoof of it on Comedy Central the other day, would really mess up a little kid if they were used to the real show and saw this one by mistake.

I remember watching them both. D & G always reminded me of Gumby and Pokey (not animated but cartoonish--have no idea what that's called)
And Jot was awfully creative, huh? Jot the Dot.
