Congrats on the Fantasy cruise!!!! I am still debating whether to do another Magic cruise next spring.... we are toying with March 24th 6 day Western..... or wait for the Fantasy in the fall..... hmmmmm, decisions decisions..... should I have another cup of coffee????

Wow, that's so awesome! What a fun trip! I've never been on a Disney Cruise, but I'm sure it's amazing. I hope there will be a TR to read.

Me neither. We have only been on Norwegian and it was okay. Nothing "magical". And we realize this may very well be a once in a life time kinda trip.

How exciting!!!!! I would love to go on a Disney cruise one day...or any cruise for that matter!!

Me too! I'm bummed that Carnival is leaving Mobile as well. My girlfriends an I always said when our kids got a little older we would drive down there and get on one of their ridiculously cheap 3 days cruises. But alas.

I know I haven't been on here in a while but I wanted to share that we are safe. Our community has been ravaged. Hard to9 get excited about our trip at the moment. We still do not have power and we have been taking refuge in Greer, SC. Tom and I are going to head hoe tomorrow and bring lots of needed supplies to our left-behind neighbors. Please say prayers for Alabama. The media is only covering Tuskaloosa but all of Alabama is ravaged. North Alabama is in a very bad way. Lo9ts of destruction and death. Promise to be back to my happy self when whatever new normal finally arrives.

I am so glad you are okay, and I am so sorry about the damage in your area. Those were horribly devastating storms. Two exits above my parents, the entire town is gone. Luckily, our area only got some downed trees and fallen limbs. Very nice of you to take back supplies. Hoping things settle soon so everyone can start to rebuild their lives as much as possible.

Thank you! we were so fortunate. Just found out yesterday that our next door neighbor's roof is collapsing from the storm. We were lucky!

Was that Ringold? We drove through there. It was really bad. Looked like a giant just walked through swinging an ax. Very sad.

Me too! Thank you. We really do feel the prayers. There is so much hope. Watching people help each other and the churches organize is awe inspiring. Watching Red Cross, FEMA and the National Guard try to bureaucratically manage things is shameful!

Thank you! We feel the prayers. My charge nurse's son was inside the grocery store down the street that got demolished but he and his couple of co-workers that were there were all okay. Thank God the power had gone out with the earlier tornado and there were no customers. they hid in the meat cooler.

I am back and my spirits are high! So glad we made it through the storm. Things will never be 100% the same but it is good to be home and making progress. Keep Alabama in your prayers.
But now onto the fun stuff!
We are going away in 2 weeks 5 days. I am so excited. My head is swimming. Packing is a disaster. I need to get organized. I also need to contact all of the Dis-ers that will be there when I am to coordinate meets. I may never fully run down all of the stuff a PTR is supposed to have like our every moment itinerary that I started but I will make up with a kick-butt TR. Everyday I hope to tell you what my goal for the day is and if I accomplish it or not. Today I will be making my tip envelopes for our room. I don't do them for ADRs because I don't like to have cash at the parks. I know I know I am a Dave Ramsey follower who will not carry cash but the KTTW card is so easy and I haul enough stuff into those parks. And everything will be paid for at checkout. Nothing goes on plastic. We walk away free and clear.

On another note we switched our cruise dates. The more and more we thought about it we decided against the Western itinerary for 2012. We are now going Eastern in December. So we have to wait two more months but that is okay. We got the cruise we wanted and it was only like $150 more total. Yay!

Hey girl, glad to hear that you are safe!! I know our county looks like a war zone, I've shed so many tears over the last 12 days. We just got our power back on Thursday after 8 days but whatever, I'm so grateful to be alive and have a house that is still standing. My trip planning has come to an almost complete stop but I'm slowly trying to get back into it and hope to feel the excitement again soon.
Your trip is so close!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!! And congrats on getting the cruise that you wanted!

You are SO CLOSE! I love hearing all the last minute-details coming together! I need to get better about starting lists and goals. We've still got a little over four months, but if I don't get started I'll never get it all finished!

(And, yes, it was Ringgold. Literally ten minutes from my parents. So happy my family is safe, but so sad for those who weren't so lucky.)
