I posted this on the Transportation Board, but wanted to post it here too, since I know a lot of Canadians drive along I-75 to Florida. I'm especially doing this since I just responded to a post and realized that some people find the overall tone on some of the other boards to be very aggressive, so limit their reading to the Canadian Board!
This is just a heads up for those of you who take the I-75 to Florida. Dave Hunter's new edition of "Along Interstate 75" (14th edition copyright Jan 2007) is available from his website www.I75online.com. He also lists American and Canadian sources (but I'm not sure that they're in stores yet). We purchased two copies of this book and his "Along Florida's Expressways" book from the website, and we received our autographed copies in about a week.
I can no longer even imagine taking this drive with just a CAA trip-tik! It's a terrific book for those of you who take this route, and it really makes the drive seem shorter. He tells you all chain gas/food/lodging at each exit, plus info on local radio stations, evacuation routes, alternate routes, etc., etc.
My apologies if this has already been posted.
Cheers,
