Daughters Wish trip booked for Aulani!

We are super excited and very grateful that her Wish to go to Hawaii has been granted! Booked for April 22nd! Thank you everyone for posting such amazing information to help us plan!!

We are coming from Toronto so I hear you on the long flight! We fly to Vancouver for a layover...at least a bit of a leg stretch!

We are coming from Northeast Pennsylvania, so definitely a haul with 3 toddlers, but we are very excited. We will have a large group there April 27-May 5.

Awesome! My DD's wish is through Children's Wish. We are in Canada and it was the organization that our hospital often uses. My DD has been fighting Aplastic Anemia for 1.5 years.
We have been so impressed on how quickly this organization pulled everything together!
When do you think you will take your trip?

Actually, our family has been super blessed this past year. My DD and her twin brother both have Cerebral Palsy and not only has DD been granted a Dream through Sunshine but we just got back from DS's trip through Children's Wish! We had applied for both kids through Sunshine which was suggested to us as they are a company that grants to kids living with lifelong disabilities. But in the process of that application we had a family friend nominate DS for a Children's Wish trip. They were so fantastic to work with and we were so happy with everything they provided for our DS. They really took care of us and they will certainly be friends of ours for life!

So here we are super spoiled this year! DS chose a Disney Cruise, which was amazing and DD has chosen Hawaii. And they turn 10 this year!! 2016 is shaping up to be super great. At times we feel slightly guilty that we are being given so much, but then remember its for these kids who live every darn day living life more difficult than the rest of us!

It's one those one day trips groups from different organizations go on. Well the day we went was
September 11th, 2001. Although we made it to Florida, Disney shut down. We were stuck for 3 days before they allowed planes to fly again! We were flying over Washington DC when the first planes hit the towers etc and we had no idea. Sunshine foundation was awesome and supported the 300+ adults and kids on the trip!

Thank you! We leave mid day on Friday April 22 and fly via Vancouver. We arrive 9pm Hawaii time. We leave the following Friday 29th but not until 10pm (nice to enjoy the resort for the day) and get home on the Saturday 30th in the afternoon.
This has lifted our family so much...with my DD's illness and also my DH has MS and has gotten worse (likely due to stress of DDs illness!) this is much needed!
