Daughter went to see Julie and Julia

She (14) and her friend (13) went. She had been watching clips of her all week on GMA, and was really happy to see the movie

Here is her facebook status, while sitting waiting for the movie to start:

Sami and I thought Julie and Julia looked cute. We're pretty sure we are the only ones under 30.

I'm sure she will like it, but I'm also fairly positive that she will never admit to anybody that she went, yet alone liked the movie

Tell her, nope! she's not the only one. My DD16 was there, too. In fact, DD loves to watch cooking shows and her favorites are Paula Deen and our beloved Julia.

I went with my DD10 and she enjoyed it!

Took my 11 year old and her best friend yesterday as one of my daughter's birthday gifts. Loved that the story was about a fearless woman who overcame obstacles that we don't even face now and about another woman who found her voice in her creative passions for both cooking and writing.

I'm debating whether or not to see the movie. I picked up the book because I loved the idea and it looked like a fun read. But it was terrible. I'm pre-judging that the movie will be just as bad as the book was.
