I feel the pain.
Now at least I know about implants as dd14 will need a couple after age 18 and done growing as she is congenitally missing her permanent teeth in two spots. By then I will be done with paying for mine and can start on hers.
My sister is congenitally missing 2 teeth as well (the ones on either side of her 2 front teeth). WIthout the full set of adult teeth, she didn't have the crowding the rest of us had so she never had to get braces!!
Looking at the pictures they took, DD's teeth are totallly straight except for one of her eye teeth on top (a bit crooked) and the two eye teeth on the bottom area also a bit off. She also has her two front teeth being a bit longer than the rest of the front teeth which the ortho said he could fix. But $5400 for just that?! No spacers, no teeth pulled and he said she may not even need rubber bands! The worst news was that this ortho is no longer accepting our dental insurance due to too many stipulations that the insurance agency is putting on him. So, we'd have to pay all of it OOP!
They were going to give us a "discount" of $300 for this being the 2nd child, but I really question that "discount." I know how that works because I used to sell cars.
