Dates to avoid in mid Jan or Feb 2019

So we are planning to go to WDW in mid Jan or Feb of 2019. Are there any events happening that we should avoid going certain weekends. Obviously we will not be going over President’ s weekend but any other dates we should avoid. Dates that it will be really crowded.

We checked on staying at Pop Century. But there are no rooms available Feb 5-10. Why would that be?

There's MLK weekend in mid-January, which will increase traffic a fair amount. The Pro Bowl is in Orlando the last weekend of January, which will increase traffic a bit.

For Pop Century, it looks like there's a cheer/dance competition at WWoS around then - ISTR that the cheer/dance folks tend to end up at Pop Century and/or All-Stars?

There are two RunDisney weekends you might want to avoid in January and February. Not only will you see crowds in the hotels and parks, but in the early mornings-early afternoons some of the roads will be blocked for the races.

The marathon weekend is January 9-13 and the Princess half marathon weekend is February 21-24.

That's strange, last night I booked two rooms at Pop Century Feb 1-8 one for 2 adults and 1 child and the other for 2 adults. I think the problem is weekend Feb 8 - 10 if you can adjust your dates.
