Im renting through David's points. I understand the 11 month thing, but 11 months to which date? checkin, checkout or just 11 months from teh month of travel?

I am planning an 8 night stay Nov 9-17th 2013. when can Davids (or any owner for the that matter) book that?

An owner at the resort you chose can reserve a Nov 9-Nov 16 stay on December 9, and would need to call again on December 10 to add the night of the 16th.

At 11 months from checking date, an owner can book up to seven nights. Since you're planning for eight nights, that last one will have to be added the next day. But it's basically guaranteed to be available.
