Dates for DVC Merry Mixer

We are thinking about going Nov-26th-Dec-3rd and was wondering what the chances were that DVC would have a Merry Mixer during those dates.

Does anyone have the dates of last years mixer? I am hoping to catch one.

They didn't have one the first partial week in December last year. The first MM was on the second Friday in December and then they were on Thursdays. I went to that first one, and it was very crowded, but I would go again if we're there for one. It was in one of the ballrooms at the Cont.

They have been on Wednesdays in the past, and then Thursdays. I'm not sure why they had one Friday one in there, but we haven't been to one since they moved away from the Epcot International gateway area. Hopefully we'll do it again this December, but the fact that it was at the Contemporary is what kept me away last year.

Here's to hoping... We went to one several years ago when it was by International gateway. My kids loved it. Oh well if not. I am not sure how I would like it at Contemporary.

The problem with it being at the Contemporary is that it just isn't convenient unless you happen to be staying there. It's kind of out of the way compared to the International gateway area. I'd think the visibility at the Epcot entrance would be a draw for DVC interest as well. Oh well. If they have it at the Contemporary, I'll have to make a choice again. Last time the choice was that it was too inconvenient.

My group was staying at VWL. It was very convenient to get to Contemporary and then we rode the monorail to see the holiday decorations on the other monorail resorts. It worked out.
