Having just completed our first Disney Cruise in Sept, I can't wait until I go again. But unfortunately we can not go until 2005. I would like to book a cabin as soon as the dates open. Has anyone heard when they will come out.

Also, if I book a cabin now will I be paying full fare or will there be some discount for booking early? I would hate to book now and then later find the rate had gone down. We would like to go end of Sept or early Oct.

Thanks
Pam

The 2005 dates were released last week (at least some of them). You will get an early booking discount for booking now. If your particular cruise gets further discounted later, Disney will match the lower rate (just have your TA call them). If the price goes up, you have locked in at the lower rate. There's no danger to booking this early because you can always change your dates up to 60 days ahead if you need to.

Have fun!

kcashner . . . Have you booked past April / 2005? Those were the latest dates open and I thought the rest of 2005 would open this January. Then, there was a thread about the rest of 2005 opening tomorrow (Dec 15).

Any new news about this?

I just called the disney cruise line. because like you i am interested in booking our 2005 summer cruise.. What the rep told me was what will be available tomorrow 12/15 is the 3, 4, and land and sea cruise dates for 2005, he said the 7 night cruises will not be available until the spring that they are working on new itineraries. I am still going to call tomorrow just to make sure..
hope this helps.

This is similar to what I got from my DU agent when I asked yesterday, only she said the Wonder cruises could be coming out soon(she didnt give the date). This totally depresses me! Ive been planning my 10th anniversary cruise for so long now and we really wanted to do the Western Itinerary. If there is a new itinerary we may just have to scrap the whole idea. :(

Oh I would LOVE a new itinerary for 2005! I so much like Disney, but frankly am sick of the ports. I would love to go someplace different!

Can't wait.

AHHHHH, and here I'd just finally made up my mind on Western because the itinerary best suited our desires and needs as far as ports, times, etc. But it's going to be changed by 2005? Lovely... all that studying based on that itinerary for the past week, down the tubes. LOL

I can hardly wait for the new dates and itineraries. while out shopping I just had to make a quick stop at the TA. She called DCL and got the same thing. But did not get any info on what the new itineraries would be. Maybe they are adding more 10 day cruises. UMMMMM Not sure if we could go for 10 days, but it is tempting.

All I got was spring for the Magic. Schedule is out for the Wonder.

Is the new itineraries in response to a 3rd ship?

All I want for Christmas is booking a 2005 7 day Cruise.

One of the persistent rumors is that the Magic will be temporarily re-positioned to the left coast to coincide with the 50th anniversary celebration of DL.

Not that this confirms it in the least, but here is a quote from an interview this month the in the OC Register with former DCL/new DL Resort President Matt Ouimet on that subject:
"The ship is mobile," Ouimet said, politely evading the question, "so one day she may come to L.A."

...doesn't take much to feed a hungry rumor.

Since many cruise lines haven't even posted any 2005 dates, I'd say, say "chill out." Whatever will be will be. I suspect noone's life will end if the date is Eatern vs. Western, although I'll apologize in advance if that's not the case.

DCL has posted thru first week of May already. We have booked Feb 2005... considering we're BOOKED already, I'd say we have a vested interest in learning as soon as possible if itineraries are changing for those dates. If it's after the dates already available to book- then I couldn't care less... I am booked to cruise before then. Should I choose to book to cruise again after that- the changes will probably already be made by then and I can pick/choose what I want to do then. :)

I doubt they'll make changes to existing itineraries (i.e. Feb 2005). But they're smart to hold off on posting May-Dec 2005 itineraries if there's a good chance that they'll change between now and Spring 2004.
