Hi! I was planning a trip for our family of four in Dec and had already purchased my MVMCP tickets for Dec. 19. My DH has decided he doesn't want to go at all, and a friend and her daughter said they can only go with me the week before Thanksgiving. Can I switch my Dec. 19 tickets to Nov. 17 tickets?

I haven't been to MVMCP but we're going Dec. 19th. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that as long as the date you want to switch to isn't sold out you can change.

I've heard about you date-swappers....I think I saw it on a late night show on HBO once......LMAO

Sorry, had to throw that in there.

I would also be interested to know what Disney will allow. I also have had to change my plans and holding MVMCP tix. I was told by Disney they are "absolutely non-refundable".

LOL, I'm only date swapping because my husband is unreasonable!

We had to change our dates one year and it was not a problem. I had to send my first ones back to disney with a letter why and they mail the ones with the new date back to us. They made it very easy on us.

I spoke to Disney again yesterday and was told "no, not refundable or changeable". That was the 2nd time I have been told no.

I wonder if the process changed? Last year I had pre-purchased tickets to Oct 28th MNSSHP, and then DD and I were at MK on the day of a party, and she wanted to attend that one as well. When I was buying the ticket, I mentioned to the CM that I had already purchased tickets for another night, and he asked if I wanted to exchange them for this night.... I did not, but at that time it would have been an option for me.

I changed my MVMCP tickets last December for a different night. I had purchased my tickets from home back in October. The night we were supposed to go to the party it had rained the whole entire day. It was one of those slow rains that never stopped. We had spent the whole day in AK and I was tired of the rain. We inquired about changing our tickets for another evening and they told us we would have to go to Guest Services at MK and they would exchange them for us there. They exchanged them with no problem. The only thing is that they charged us an extra $5 for each ticket, since the new night we picked to go was a Friday and the price of the tickets for a Friday is $5 more than the other days during the week!! At least there was no rain on the night we went!!!

I'm thinking the process has changed. There was no hesitation by CM in telling me "no". No exchange, No refund. Pretty much it was "sorry, nothing we can do" It's not like I'm out a fortune, but it would be nice to be able to exchange it for something useful. Still looking at the e-bay option. Don't know how much of a hassle that may be.

I have a feeling that Disney may have taken away some of the CM flexiblity on this issue.

Sometimes I think the internet shoots us in the foot. Disney does something nice for someone (making an exception to the rule) and it gets posted. Next thing you know LOTS of folks want thet same "exception" and then they have two choices, make the exception the rule or stick to the rules. I have noticed over the years that Disney has become stricter on enforcing the rules.

I changed dates last year for MNSSHP. After we had bought our tickets, my daughters surgery had been scheduled for that date so we had to go 2 weeks earlier. They had no problem at all switching the dates for me and we just picked up the new ones at the ticket window with no problems.

I made one more phone call and got a CM that was very understanding. Nothing she could do, but suggested I call Ticketing Services. They aren't in til Mon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I ordered my tickets the week before 4th of July weekend and decided that I wanted to change the date to 2 days before the date I originally ordered. I called the same day I ordered them and the CM gave me the number for the ticketing service. I called them the next day and the CM told me that they had not been mailed out yet, so it would not be a problem I have now recieved my tickets with the new dates on them. I guess it is more difficult for them to change it after they have been mailed out. It wasn't a problem for me, but they hadn't even mailed them to me yet. LOL:cool1:

As for ebay, I bought three tickets that way two years ago. It worked out great.
