Is the date for the upgraded annual pass the date the ticket was printed, or the date the upgrade is done, or the date the ticket is first used?

You mean, you're upgrading from a standard AP to a Premuim AP? If so, the upgrade has the expiration date of the original pass, even upgrading on the last day you pa full price for the upgrade, and it would expire he next day.

If you are taling about upgrading a park hopper/MYW pass to an AP, it must be done within 14 days of first use, even if it is a non-expiring pass and would be backdated to expire one year from the first use of the hopper/MYW.

I'm referring to upgrading from something like a 10 day pass to any type of annual pass.

The first day of use of the 10 day pass.

If the MYW ticket is unused, the year of admission will begin on the day you do the upgrade.

If the MYW is partially used, then the upgrade must take place within 14 days of the first use and the year of admission will be backdated to begin on the day the MYW ticket was first used.
