Hi all. I am not new here but our first trip as a family was a trip through Make A Wish so I didn't have to do anything other than plan my trip while there. Now I have to learn how to do this from the beginning since we want to go for dd's fifth bday (we celebrated our wish child's fifth bday this past summer). We need to go cheap as we are in debt up to our eyeballs right now and are digging ourselves out slowly. Someone point me in the right direction. Hold my hand please. I have little time on the internet but I do have plenty of time to plan! DD doesn't turn five until January of 2009! LOL

Thanks!

What date will you be going? If you feel comfortable you can book everything through WDW itself or call a travel agent for some assistence.

Some great sites to help with savings is www.mousesavers.com

www.undercovertourist.com is a great place to get your WDW tickets from. If you sign up for the mousesaver newsletter they will give you a discount code as well for more savings.

Hi! You do have lots of time until your trip so you can spend your time picking what you'd like to do. I LOVE planning Disney trips for us and for others so if I can be any help, please feel free to PM me and I would be so happy to help in any way you need.:goodvibes

I want to go the week of Jan. 21st, 2009. Thank you for the links.

MissyDVC, I really appreciate the assistance. I may have to take you up on that offer. I am so lost. The MAW trip was our first trip ever and I never really planned a trip before. Isn't that sad? I don't even know where to start. What goes first? The airfare? The hotel ressies? How do I pay and if something should happen, can I get my money back? I need a starter guide for people who've never planned a trip before but are OCD when it comes to planning and getting the best deal. LOL

Be sure to take out trip insurance. Book the flight as soon as you can...then call Disney reservations and request a value resort, All Star Movies, Sports, Music or Pop Century. Use Magical Express and once you check your bags you won't handle them until you are ready to leave and then you call for baggage pick up and Disney does the rest!!! Just awesome. Please don't be afraid to ask questions once you get there as they do have the anwsers or if not, they will find out for you. Also, tell reservations at Disney when you make them you were there once before and the reason, they may have other suggestions for you. There is a Unofficial Guide to Disney by Steve Birnbaum and he has great anwsers and hints to help in planning and enjoying the trip. When you stay at resort, all the transportation to and from the parks are included in your stay. Buy your Park Hopper tickets when you book the room, that will save you time and money:)I don't know what your Make a Wish was for, but I trust that God will see you thru with this vacation and that you will experience an awesome time. You will be able to go back to the resort during the day with little time being wasted if you use Disney transportation, I forgot to add that earlier here... Anyways, enjoy your time at the Happiest Place on earth:)
