We just realized we will not need a ticket for our son since he will not quite be 3. My question is since he won't have a ticket will he be able to get a DAS. My first thought would be no, but I'm not sure. All input is appreciated !!

If he has needs that qualify him for a DAS, then I believe it will be be attached to a parent's MagicBand or ticket.

Enjoy your vacation!

When we went in Oct. 2015 our under 3 still got a Magic Band so I would think it would be attached to that. I don't think you can use it for the big rides and all though because the kiddo doesn't qualify to ride (but I could be wrong).

Didn't someone respond the last time this was asked that their child was given a card that could be scanned like a ticket?

We saw the family ahead of us in line get one for an under 3 child. They gave the child a thin card that looked just like the regular tickets, and that was what the DAS was attached to for the child. (I remember this vividly because my son then demanded that he get a special card, too, which the kind CM just gave him as a dummy card.) Of course, I think just with any DAS, the child must ride on the ride in order to use the DAS.

Yep I'm aware he has to be with us. That's the idea behind the DAS for him. I just didn't know if he got the benefit of the fast pass part of it since he didn't have the admission ticket.

yes this is what they give you also if you are a DAS holder and you go in the park with a friend that goes in using someones ID card this is what they give the person so that they can be on your DAS card

and yes the child has to ride the ride order to use the DAS card you could go up to get a return time for any ride but the child with the DAS card must ride and if they are not tall enough they will not get on/

since he dose not have a ticket he can not get FP times nut she can go on a FP ride that you have a FP for I think all you have to do is tell the CM that he is under 3 and if you have a FP for it he can go.

Children unde 3 don't need Fastpasses since they have no ticket to obtain one with (that is different than DAS).
For attractions where the adults have Fastpasses, the child is just included in the Fastpass as long as they meet the height requirements for the attraction.
