How does one get a virtual que when one has a DAS? The CM showed me the small button that would appear on my disney experience on the bottom right when I enter the park but not sure how to get a return time for tron or guardians if I decide to ride. Can I only make a return time after I enter the park? I know with genie plus you can make a return time at 7am. Sorry, the whole reservation system is very confusing to me. The more I read about it, the more confused I get. LOL.

To get a VQ for Guardians and Tron it’s the same process as everyone else even when you have DAS. You click on the Virtual Queue tile for either ride and join the queue at either 7:00am or 1:00pm (and 6:00pm for Deluxe hotel evening hours). 7am queue normally fills within seconds for both rides so if you don’t get it then then you have a better shot at 1:00pm because those seem to last longer. Your other option is to buy an $ILL for either ride as well.

If you’re successful at getting a VQ slot at either of those times then once your boarding group is called you can go to the CM holding an iPad outside of either ride entrance and tell them that you have DAS. They’ll scan your magic band (or whatever you’re using) for you and whoever else is riding with you and convert your VQ into a Lightning Lane. It only takes a couple of minutes to do and once it’s done you can then go straight into the Lightning Lane to enter the ride.

For Tron they’re very strict about the one hour return time window once your boarding group has been called and if you miss it then they won’t let you ride so you need to be able to go straight there once it has but for Guardians they’re a lot more lenient on return times and you can pretty much show up whenever but the later you leave it, the busier it gets later in the day because everyone else has the same idea. Hope that helps.

Earlier this week, we showed up for our Tron return about half an hour late and had no issue getting on the ride. It was about 10:45 in the morning, so we obviously weren’t trying to turn a daytime return into a nighttime ride.

I’d recommend trying hard to get there during the window, but don’t give up hope if you’re running behind.

Glad it worked out for you but there’s been lots of reports of people being told it’s tough by CMs and denied entry when showing up just past their return time window so that’s why it’s best not to risk it. I guess it just depends on the CM about how strict they are and whether they’ll still let you on or not if you’re late. It’s better people know about it in advance than end up disappointed on the day.

We're at WDW right now - I know many people have gone up to Tron with expired times and not been let through. I have no idea if they had DAS. Also, be prepared to wait in some long Lightning lanes, even before you get cleared to go through. Many people have no idea what the LL is for, etc.
