Does anyone know if the DAS can be used to stand / sit in the FP sections for the parades & fireworks? 3 o'clock Festival of Fantasy parade, Main Street Electrical Parade, Wishes, Fantasmic & Illuminations?

I know all of the above have FP, which means it should be DAS accessible, but I'm hearing different things from different people. Some say yes you can use DAS, just arrive 30 minutes before it starts and they will let you in....some are saying that you can't use DAS for these FP areas.

We were permitted to be in the disability (wheelchair) rope off area at flagpole for the fof parade. Not the FP area, which was a separate roped off area near the flagpole too. This was last month.

We had a fp anyway so used that - the view was much better for us, and less crowded. Ymmv. It was a busy day and all fp for the parade gone. Before the parade started, they were sending people in wheelchairs to the FP area because the disability area filled up. So maybe the answer is it depends. :)

Has Disney specifically stated that the DAS is available for anything with FP? I know that is a guideline on these boards to help people distinguish between character greets that use the DAS and those that do not, but is it a Disney written rule? I am just curious as I have never actually seen this listed on any Disney controlled document/website.

I believe it is for anything with a FP and a Standby line. The DAS is designed to allow you to wait out the Standby time in another area. If there is no Standby line then everyone needs a FP to enter including DAS users.

Okay, this makes sense and would be how Disney can exclude DAS from FP for parades and fireworks as there is no set standby line for those events.

I know that when people who know I have taken my sister to WDW and used the GAC have asked how the DAS works, I have basically stated that it is used for anything with a FP. At the time, I was not thinking about parades and fireworks, so I tried to look once and never specifically saw that it was for use on attractions with FP. I think I will use your statement that it is for any attraction that has a set standby line and a set FP line.

That makes sense! Thank you.
