So, last time we went to WDW we went to CM to get a DAS for our son who is autistic. This time, we are going on a wish trip for our 16 yo daughter and our son is almost 12. Should we still get a DAS for him or is that kind of pointless with the Genie Pass?

If you think that there's a chance that he will separate from your daughter at any point, you might as well renew it. But if it requires a separate trip to GS there's no reason to do it first thing day one, either.

Yes if you are all going to be together then I would not worrie but I think you need to go to GR to get your genei pass so you might want to see about it

No, they give genie pass at gktw, first night there is a mandatory orientation

Yes.
The genie passes are given out away from WDW; at Give Kids the World for families staying there or by the Wish Granting organization for families not staying there.
If your family is not staying at GKTW, check with your Wish Granting organization - Make a Wish is the largest and children on Wish Trips thru MAW do get the genie pass. Not every wish granting organization has a relationship with Disney to give out genie passes. Children on Wish trips from those organizations would get DAS from Park Guest Relations.

You would want to consider getting DAS for your child with autism if he will not always be with the wish child or if he wants to go on things she can't go on.

Thanks. He definitely will not be with his sister all the time - they like different parts of the park.
