I juat walked up to the FP where the CM was standing I said can I have a return time they said yes scanned my MB came back and I said I have a DAS return time I scanned my MB walked to the next one where there was a CM there she had her back to me but noticed I was there maybe 30 seconds letter told me she would be right with me a minute or 2 latter she handed out her hand and I said no I have a DAS return time she then opined to the scanner I scanned and she said please go to line 1 this was at the 7DMT

yes the fast pass line is open for rider swap/DAS when I was scanning another person was behind me not sure if they had a DAS or RS since the CM asked them to wait too.

When my daughter used DAS during the party last year, we walked up to the CM at the ride and gave them the DAS card and they wrote in a time. When we returned we walked through the FP line. We have not returned since the DAS has been attached to magic bands.

Hmm, I never thought about the rider swap issues, as using that you go down the FP line too. So is RS advertised as not available during the parties like they say DAS is not available?

I can not tell you what other people will say but I am pretty sure I have seen it done with EMH I think the person behind me had RS but I do not know for sure I have been looking at wait times during the party nights and all but maybe 3 have waits under 10 minutes so for the most part you do not need a DAS I just could not believe that Disney would say after x time you do not have a disability it's like telling someone in a wheel chair you can now walk it is after this time so since I was right by 7dmt I tried my DAS

This is not an appropriate analogy, nor what Disney is saying with disallowing DAS use.

You may disagree with me but it is how I see it and yes Disney dose allow DAS on party and EMH with what I have seen unless you go to Disney with me you can not tell me that they do not let me use my DAS just like I can not tell you Disney did not let you use your DAS or if you even tried it.

Oh good lord.

I get that you've used it. However, the glaringly overall experience of hundreds of people over years of using BOTH disability programs is that the card isn't honored when FP is not running - parties, EMH, etc.

The analogy doesn't make any sense, but, stick with it if you'd like.

Closing this thread as it is no longer sharing useful information.
To summarize what is known.......

Guests with disabilities are expected to wait in line if the current wait time is less than 20 minutes during park hours.
This was/is true for both GAC (discontinued Guest Assistance Card) and DAS (the current Disability Access Service).
Depending on the attraction, the guest might be directed to either Fastpass line or standby line. (If the wait is less than 20 minutes, the time in line would be fairly similar in both lines).

The great majority of lines during parties are less than 20 minutes.
Party waits are often much less - basically loading as quickly as guests can get from the entrance to the point of loading.

In general, short waits during parties for guests with disabilities are handled the same during parties as during regular park hours - if the wait is less than 20 minutes, guests using DAS will wait in line.

Many people over the years on this site and other places reported they were not able to use GAC or DAS.
Because of that and the short party waits, guests with DAS should expect not to be able to use it.
If the posted wait time is 20 minutes or over, and the DAS user wants to go on an attraction - ask the CM at the entrance.
They may be able to provide accommodation. It will depend on what they have available.

On all the places I follow, a couple of people have reported using DAS during parties, generally for headline attractions that offer Rider Swap.
NOT ALL ATTRACTIONS have Rider Switch. Attractions that offer Rider Switch have more options available and MIGHT handle DAS users similar to Rider Switch.

Many people have reported they were not able to use DAS for party character meet and greets. There may be other opportunities for those, such as having part of your party wait in line and one person wait outside of line with the person with a disability.
