DAS- No More Card?

Hi everyone. I have heard and read and seen conflicting information. Is the DAS 100% tied to the magic band now? Or is the card with the return time written on it still in effect? Or both??

Just tied to MDE now. Can be magicband or admission card.

The cardstock DAS card is no longer is use. DAS registration is totally electronic, either on Magicbands or digital ticket media.

But, there are still situations where you may be given a paper card with a return time written on it at individual attractions. Sometimes, it's because the wifi or DAS system is not available at the time. That happened to us several times on our last trip this past April.
We also got a paper return time ticket for Jungle Cruise because that system is used for guests with wheelchairs who do not have DAS. We got a paper time ticket also for a show.

But, in general, DAS is totally electronic.

In recent weeks we have received the paper return card with the time written down occasionally, as recently as this Sunday in MK. I use FP+, but then feel guilty when I have to cancel because I am not up to going to the park, or staying there any longer.

as others have said most of the time they will put your return time on the MB or card some times the wifi at rides are down and they will give you a paper return time there has been one time that I was there that the system went down in the MK ( not sure about the other parks) and they handed out the old green paper DAS they used before it went electronic

Tried to get a picture of one of my cards I had left over from one of my trips

it is very easy to put in your pocket then forget you have it which is why I always have a few when I get home.

Okay not going till October , but will be travelling with 8 Itellectually Disabled folks , with various diagnosis . Do we have to register at Guest services to be linked to DAS, how do we get a DAS for all now. Before we could take the paper card and get it for all as they were for 5 each and we had 2 . This is news to me about the change !! Glad I checked this forum !!

just like before you will need to stop at GR inside the park ( a few times the one out side to do it) and explain why each one will need a DAS they need to be around when doing this. if they do get a DAS card the CM will take there picture and scan there MB or card then any one that dose not need a DAS like you or other helpers will have there MB or card scanned and linked together

Each individual who needs a DAS generally gets his/her own; that allows the party to split up and/or not ride if someone so chooses. Remember DAS is not based on diagnosis but on each individual's needs as related to waiting in a standard queue environment; that may mean that some in your party have a DAS and others do not, but you should likely all be able to stay together as long as at least 2 have a DAS. The DAS will have their picture and is now electronically attached to their MB or ticket. The whole party can be listed under each, but each guest may only have 1 active DAS return time at any given point in time. So you can't get a return time for the whole party for 8 different rides. 1 ride at a time, or if the party splits up 2 different rides for different subgroups of your party.
