Hi,
It looks like it’s been a few weeks since this was confirmed… and I know theres always updates. If I want to use DAS near closing, say on flight of passage with 140min posted wait, and it’s currently 45 mins before closing - what happens? Can I book the das return time in the app? Can the guest services under umbrellas book it for me? Or do I need to go to the ride and ask at the entrance? And if it worked for you, what return time were you given? Thanks!

I would go to the ride and ask they will ( or for me in the past ) did one of two things let me right on or give me a return time just before closing

Thank you both. So no one has experienced being turned away if the posted wait time extends until after park close?

Everyone on here is super helpful, so I'm editing this to add that I personally have previously experienced cast members be able to adjust return times for various disability related reasons, but haven't seen this reported since everything can be done on the app now. I am not new to using DAS, but just haven't been since DAS return times became bookable on the app in October.

Someone did post fairly recently that they denied a return time when the standby wait extended past park close. I don't recall if that poster went to the attraction, though, or just tried at a blue umbrella or guest relations. As PP mentions, in the past when obtaining a return time directly at the attraction, DAS has been accommodated as long as the standby queue was still open. That is probably your best option.

That makes complete sense, provided the standby line is still open. If not, then I can see why a DAS return time would be denied.

Our experience has been that if the posted stand-by wait time extends beyond park closing, we are not able to get a DAS return for that attraction using the MDE app... but if we walk to the entrance for the attraction and ask a CM, they will still accommodate the DAS user and their party.

Last week I grabbed a DAS for the Safari at AK.
Return time was for 530 BUT the ride closed at 445!

we ran to a blue tent and they manually changed our time to 430 and we caught one of the last buses out.
