DAS currently?

Hi all, We're toying with the idea of making a trip this spring. Wondering if the DAS is currently being issued? My daughter is a relatively newly diagnosed T1D and this weighs heavily on our decision. Thanks in advance for your insights.

Yes, the DAS passes are still being issued by GR. They were very helpful for us in December. There’s a long thread and lots of help on this forum https://www.disboards.com/forums/disabilities.20/

You're welcome! BTW we have grandkids with "not visible" disabilities that qualified them for DAS passes, so don't hesitate to visit GR and talk to the CMs there. They were very helpful and so was the DAS pass. I'm thankful that Disney offers it.

Just be ready to explain why she cannot use the standby queue. DAS is not based on any particular diagnosis.

This. As a T1D myself, I have no diabetes-related needs that prevent me from going through the standard queue, so my advice is to really closely examine and be able to articulate what you believe the child’s needs are.
Of course, it should go without saying that the usual motto applies: Your Diabetes May Vary.
