So I just went to the Disneyland site to try to register my son for DAS for our trip in a couple weeks.

Well, first, I accidently went to the Disneyworld site without realizing it. As soon as the chat popped up, a "person" came on to check for my reservations and said I didn't have one. That's when I noticed I was on the wrong site. Oops!

So I went to the Disneyland one. Selected the option to start a chat. Clicked "start" and nothing happened. Do I just wait? Or am I supposed to type or do something else?? I didn't get a "person" to check my reservation like on the WDW site.

Got up to make a coffee and came back to this. I am still logged in. I hit the back button a million times. I hit reload. Still getting this same message. What am I supposed to do now? I am trying to sit here and do this while also trying to keep an eye on my disabled child. This is frustrating!!

Maybe try a different browser. A chat box should come up.

The pre-registering feature sounds nice in theory, but in my experience, I've waited hours for a CM to come on the chat to complete the registration, so it's not worth it to me.

You have to type something after it says start. That should trigger the system to ask you what date you need the pass to start and if you are 2- 30 days out from your trip. Its really frustrating because it doesn’t tell you to do that.

I typed in the chat , then it showed me cast member will be with you shortly. Then it kicked me out about 10 times, ,turned blank for w while, but it did save my place in line. Did this Friday and waited about 30 minutes before a cast member arrived. Wasn’t too bad honestly thought I’d be waiting longer!

I’ve heard of some reported waits of over 4 hrs! Scared to do this in august 😬

But worth it

In March I waited about an hour too. Compared to the lines at City Hall all trip that was a piece of cake.

We just did this (granted, it was for Disney World). We initiated the chat around 10am on a Wednesday & we were connected with a cast member around 12:30. It does toss you out of the chat every 30 minutes but it’s easy to log back in and it saves your spot. It took another 15-20 minutes with the cast member after that to complete the process & preselect our 2 rides per park day.

When all was said and done, I was over 4 hours. The first one was for the chat to be approved. The second one was 2 hours of waiting to select my advance selections.

UPDATE - It kicked me out several times, including once during the video chat. Thankfully I was able to get back in. The whole thing took about an hour and a half.

Of course, now there's a chance we will need to reschedule our trip for this Fall so I may have to do this all again later. Ugh.

Glad, while frustrating, it didn’t take all day.

Also, hopefully you don’t have to reschedule

FYI - on Thursday at Disneyland around 0900 the wait at City hall was about 15 minutes and the wait at the first set of umbrellas near Plaza Inn was about 5 minutes.
