Does anyone have any experience with DAS at the Christmas party? From what I can see FastPass is not used at these special events, but do cast members provide any courtesy to DAS guests? I am traveling with my daughter with autism. She loves characters, but I'm worried now that this might be a difficult experience if we spend a long time on line. Any advice would be appreciated.

I went to MNSHP and the Christmas party last year I was able to use my DAS for rides that had a wait over 10 minutes with no problem. But the meet and greets you had to wait in a line I was only able to meet the 7D one time but no one else due to lines being too long and not being able to do it with my disability. I did have a great time watch the fier works and Parade

now that I have some more time I will add a few things
I have never had any problems with using my DAS card for rides how ever I have heard other people on here say they have been told no and some people say they were allowed to use it how ever most lines are short for rides ( I walked across the park to go in a line with a wait longer then 10 minutes to see if I could use my DAS card and was able too no question asked

for me I have a lot of sensory problems and some lines for charters are out side so you really do not have much ( autorery sensory going on) or at lest I find it less I do were ear protectors and some times my ear buds with music on ( I can some times handle on 20 minute line but that is it for the day or half day so one line per party) I found when I had to use a wheel chair due to medical problems I was able to handle it a little better I had a little more room ( and I asked the guest behind me if they would not mind giving me a little more room and they were great about this.) I do not know how old your DD is but a stroller as a wheel chair tag might be helpful to give your a bubble along with a nice big campy ( pr what ever they are called) pulled down and a iPhone iPad what ever for destruction put some ear things on (earbuds head phones) if she is too big for a stroller maybe a wheel chair with a small umbrella ( I have done this when going with a friend and it works great) I was able to do 2 15 minute lines one afternoon instead of just 1

I hope this helps you out some

In general, DAS is not used for the parties because waits for lines are short and they are using only one line.
With only one line in use, there is no way to bypass the line to get past the other people and no Standby Wait time to base a DAS Return Time on.
Whether or not you can use it for individual attractions is going to depend on the attraction and what they have available. I have heard of them using DAS during parties for attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or the 7 Dwarfs Mine Car ride.

DAS is not available for the special character meet and greets. They are in areas that don't have a place to bypass the line. For some, you might be able to have part of your group wait in line while the person with a disability and another member wait outside of the line.
The meet and greets that have permanent locations (Fairytale Princess Hall, Mickey in Town Hall, Tinkerbell, Side Show in the circus area) usually have short lines during the party. I would not count on usin DAS in those locations, but it might be possible.

I would consider a wheelchair or stroller as wheelchair.

Thanks for all the feedback. This is my first time going back to Disney in 20 years! Taking my daughter w autism. Really disappointed bc the main reason I bought the tickets was bc of all the characters- she can't handle too many rides. I didn't realized the DAS was limited :(

I have a DAS card and often go to the parties. We still have a really fun time. Like Sue says the most difficult is probably the characters that are not in a premanant location. But all the rest makes up for it. The amount of people is usually lower. We try to go mid week on a lower crowd evening. It is still enjoyable and I think your daughter will enjoy it. I always do and I have very complex needs. The CM are always helpful. If nothing else the atmosphere is electric!
