DAS at MK

Refresh my memory: Are we able to sign up for a DAS at the guest services outside of the MK gates, or only the one inside the parks? My nephew will need to sign up for one and my sister was hoping to be able to sign up before they enter the park. They’re arriving tomorrow so virtual won’t be an option.

There is a guest services outside of the park, but it's hit-or-miss on whether they are able to set up the DAS. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't, according to info I've read here on the DIS.

As @DisneyOma mentioned, it is kind of hit and miss of whether or not they will be able to. Probably yes, but no guarantee.

They will need to go thru Security, which is pretty easy now with the ‘touch free’ scanners. Very few people actually need to have their bags hand checked.
The biggest thing to be aware of is that the outside of the park guest relations is right in front of the tap points to get into the park. You will be able to see the train station and into the park thru the tunnel on the side of the train station.
That‘s not a problem for some people to see the park and not go in, but causes lots of issues for others.
