You first lol, JK. My party doesn’t have any trips planned past the 120 days. Sure would be nice to be able to be approved for summer trip for that time period though, would cover all travel thru the end of year for us.I might - maybe worth just asking?
I’m definitely thinking the same thing! 120 vs 240 days is a significant policy change.I might - maybe worth just asking?
Today, I tried to chat in MDE, but only got an auto-reply containing the link to register for DASI’m definitely thinking the same thing! 120 vs 240 days is a significant policy change.

The CM who approved my daughter stated that it hadn't been posted on the website yet. I imagine they'll update it soon. I can certainly how it must feel like rapid changes from your perspective. I have to wonder if the CM who advised you to call daily was just someone going rogue for you situation. However, for us, it's coming up on the 120 mark from first approval and the whole process was nearly identical both times, except for the extension of approval time. The really odd part of this pretty drastic change to 240 days of approval for APs & DVC is that on the website it still hows 120 days as the longest approval term. I know this isn’t the thread for long discussions so I’ll take it over to the other, but my primary frustration with my own experience so far has been the lack of clarity on things that should be clear. It feels like the rules keep changing on a weekly basis.
If 240 is only for AP & DVC it would make sense to me that they would not publish that on the general DAS information page. It would only open the door to more confusion and folks w/out those qualifications wanting theirs to be extended as well ... just because it says so.The really odd part of this pretty drastic change to 240 days of approval for APs & DVC is that on the website it still hows 120 days as the longest approval term. People already read it wrong and assume everyone is approved for 120 days based on what the website says. I’ve seen many people with date based tickets tell others they will be approved for 120 days…If 240 is only for AP & DVC it would make sense to me that they would not publish that on the general DAS information page. It's not confusing at all, people just want to read or hear what they want.People already read it wrong and assume everyone is approved for 120 days based on what the website says. I’ve seen many people with date based tickets tell others they will be approved for 120 days…
I was also told it would be valid for 120 days by the CM who approved us. We are not DVC or AP. Our tickets are discounted magic your way tickets and are not date-based, so don't have the expiration date that date-based tickets have. It's not confusing at all, people just want to read or hear what they want.
"DAS is valid for the length of the ticket or up to 120 days, whichever is shorter."
I agree, but it seems to be confusing people. Or they say they the CM told them it was good for 120 days even though they have dated based tickets. It's not confusing at all, people just want to read or hear what they want.

could spin it that, possibly, could account for a surge of selling more APs = more park revenueIf 240 is only for AP & DVC it would make sense to me that they would not publish that on the general DAS information page.
Absolutely. Human nature to interpret favorably, especially when they are so invested in somethingIt's not confusing at all, people just want to read or hear what they want.

Didn’t know they sold any tix now without an expiry date. InterestingOur tickets are discounted magic your way tickets and are not date-based, so don't have the expiration date that date-based tickets have.
A few people bought a dozen or so of AP vouchers and no expiration tickets 10 or so years ago, and been using them bit by bit.Didn’t know they sold any tix now without an expiry date. Interesting

This isn't what my post is referring to. The discounted tickets we bought we bought last weekA few people bought a dozen or so of AP vouchers and no expiration tickets 10 or so years ago, and been using them bit by bit.
My DS has no expiration tickets from his honeymoon 14 years ago. Has a day or two left and a few water parks options on it.
I had no idea about those. Heard about military tickets, but not details.Military salute tickets, for ex, are valid for the length the program decides (usually a year). These aren't the tickets we purchased, but we have used them in the past and (unless changed in recent programs), they don't expire 14 days after first use either. They are the same price for the length of the program, price doesn't change based on time of year as I understand date-based tickets do.
Magic Your Way tickets sold through the military expire 14 days after first use or Dec 31, 2025. If you start using them on Dec 31, you have 14 days from then.not to split hairs
It’s been expiring 120 days from 1st usage date, not approval which could be 30 days prior

Don't all these type of tickets (non-date specific) need Park Reservations? And if so then they would need to make those reservations before applying for DAS. Then the DAS starts from their first park day. At that point they are just like any other regular ticket.Magic Your Way tickets sold through the military expire 14 days after first use or Dec 31, 2025. Military Salute tickets are good for the whole year you bought them for, you don’t have to use all the days on one trip.
