I found out that a family we know will be at Disney at the same time as us! We plan on meeting up once at Magic Kingdom. We used DAS last year with our son so I understand how it works.

The other family is a mom, dad, and two sons. Their youngest one will need his own DAS, but I don't imagine he'll want to go rides like Big Thunder, Seven Dwarfs, etc. (The mom doesn't like crazy rides either)
For that day, could we add their dad and older son to our DAS so we can do some rides together? Would this take them off their own family DAS?

no some one can be on 2 DAS card but they can not be on the DAS cards at the same time

so family a has the family plus dad and older son for a 7DMT for 12 and the return time is 1pm the other family has a DAS for Peter pain at 12 with a return time at 1 older son and DAD can not be on this DAS since they are on the 7DMT one.

I hope this made since

A person can be on two different DAS at the same time, they just can't have two return times at the same time. So, as long as adding them won't take you over six people, which it doesn't appear that it will, you should have no problem.

They most certainly can be on two DAS at the same time, they just can't have a return time on each one at the same time.
