Can the DAS be used in anyway for shows?
I am assuming not but we are planning out our FP+ and DAS use for our trip and I didn't know whether the card could be used for shows and wanted to plan for it if they can and if they can't.

At WDW, DAS can be used at any attraction using FP+ -- whether that attraction be a ride or a show. So things like the Tiki birds, Country Bears, Carousel of Progress, and such -- yes you can use DAS, though it's generally easy enough to determine the next show time and avoid the wait on your own.

DAS cannot be used for shows such as those on-stage in front of the castle, dinner shows, etc.

Enjoy your vacation!

Chiming in to agree with lanejudy.

The other thing to be aware of is whether or not there is usually a wait for that show. If there isn't, they may just tell you to come on in. An example of that is Mickey's Philharmagic at times when the wait for the next show is only 10 minutes.

If you have a Fastpass, you will be let into the next show when your Faspass time comes. In our experience with DAS for shows, you will possibly be asked which showte you are interested and will get a time for that particular show.

That is what I was wondering. Thank you.

Important to be aware though that the handicapped viewing areas may not always have plenty of space. They can sometimes be very crowded and fill to capacity up to an hour before the parade.

They generally have guests with mobility devices (wheelchairs, ECVs, etc) parked very voles together across the front of the viewing area. If it's very busy, it's possible they may have more than one row. At least one companion can stay behind the mobility device.
Other members of the group and people with disabilities who can stand will be behind the tow of mobility devices. Depending on your needs and the number in your group, some people find it works just as well to find a spot themselves and use other members of their group as a 'buffer'.
