My DH has been eligible for DAS for several years as he has many medical issues. We are traveling in April and we plan on registering when we get to WDW.
Three of our adult children will be in our group but 2 of them have purchased Disney Genie. Not sure how Genie works but if they book times for the park that we're in will we have issues getting them in our boarding group? For example if we try to book FOP when entering AK and it coincides with a ride that they have booked will the DAS app not allow them in our group? We aren't trying to be greedy lol...just don't want them to have to cancel their selections with Genie until we know whether we can book our DAS.

DAS and Genie+ are separate systems. Since DAS is open-ended “return after hh:mm…” and Genie+ is a set time window that expires, you shouldn’t have a problem with overlap. Plus all are made day-of so you would likely be able to coordinate the times/rides.

Also I would recommend that you preregister for DAS. My daughter qualifies and we were able to preregister her via video chat plus you can reserve two attractions at each park (top level attractions are excluded.) But these are separate from any DAS return times you would get at the park. Similar to Genie+ there are only so many available, so the longer you wait the fewer that are available.
it was helpful to us to have definite times already in place as we looked at Genie+ or ILL and allowed us to plan the day with less walking for her.
