Darn You Slipper Dessert!

I have been having a very very difficult time getting in touch with anyone regarding ordering the Cinderella's White Chocolate Slipper Dessert. Here's the scoop: We're going to WDW in July and on our first day there we are having lunch at CRT at 2:15 pm. During the week we are there, it will be my mom's birthday, so I thought I would order her the slipper dessert as a "sweet" way (hyuck hyuck, hokey joke ) to kick off the vacation/birthday week. Well, I cannot get a hold of ANYONE to order it. I tried Disney dining, they couldn't help so they gave me the number to the MK Special Events line, nobody answered. So then I tried calling CRT directly, and it's an automatic machine saying to leave a message, which I did, and nobody called me back in almost 2 weeks now! Does anyone have a phone number to call to order the Slipper at CRT? Also, is it on the Dining Plan at all? What else comes with it besides the slipper filled with mousse? How much is it? All questions Disney could answer if they just answered their phones!

Sorry to vent, TIA for anyone with advice/info.!

Sounds like you are not eating at the restaurant?

I believe the Grand Floridian used to offer the slipper dessert as well. You should try their concierge since you are staying there maybe?

What do you mean? CRT? No, I'll still eat lunch there even without the dessert.

Yep, we are staying at GF, and actually I already ordered a birthday cake for her when we eat at Narcoossee's the night of her birthday, so I don't really want to have TWO b-day desserts there for her b-day!

I heard it does need to be ordered atleast 48 hours in advance, so I still have plenty of time.. I just like to get all my ducks in a row in advance, so to speak. Just so I don't forget to do it last minute with all the hustle and bustle!

I know you want the slipper at CRT, but maybe the GF private dining line can tell you how to order it. 407-824-2578 Maybe the GF experts on the GF FAQ thread will know for sure.

I got the Slipper Dessert at CRT for Lunch back in Jan 2006. I had to special order it ahead of time directly from CRT. I called, left a message, and they called me back.

Aw, the GF one is a little better I think, but we already have a pre-ordered dessert from GF, so we're doing the CRT one. What kind of cake is under that? Just yellow cake?

Actually, it's not my little girl!! That's a fellow Diser. I've never had the slipper dessert at CRT, only at GF.

Thanks for posting the photos. After reading through this thread I was thinking about ordering one for our ladies lunch at the castle. Seeing the picture, however, I know I would be disappointed if we got that and not the one at GF.

I'd keep trying. I had the same experience except w/the WL. I wanted to order a bday cake for my DD2 & have it delivered to our room. I used the phone number thats printed on the first page of the Bday cake thread and no one had a clue what I was talking about. The CM kept saying "oh you can order one on her bday..don't need to preorder one." I just kept insisting that I could preorder a bday cake 2 weeks in advance because I wanted a special cake not the 6" frozen cake. Finally she put me on hold and then transferred me to someone else where I ordered a cake and balloons..I think it was inroom dining but that person acted like I was from Mars too. So I say keep trying 'til you get someone.

After all that...we had to cancel because DD4 was sick ! But we're going in October. Where I'm going to try and order a special cake for our CRT dessert. Let us know what happens! Good luck!

I just ordered 2 for our ADR on 12/8 @ 7:50pm at Narcoosee's. The number above was the only number that was able to help me, more accurately, was the only number that had a live person pick-up.
