Darn! Magic Bands Arrived, but no Luggage Tags

I was hoping they would be included in the box. I guess DVC members don't get the new matching luggage tags. Silly me! I actually changed the colors of our bands from what we were originally going to get in order to get the matching tags that I wanted. I was pretty bummed when I opened the box and they weren't inside. Bummer.

DVC Point reservations have never received luggage tags. The only exception is the ones for DME (if signed up) which arrive separately from the MagicBands.

Sometimes when I go through an agent, I get luggage tags. But no because it was DVC.

I got my new band on Monday, no luggage tag. I tore through the box. I was going to decline it because I have several but then I heard about the matching luggage tags so I ordered one.

Are you referring to the disposable yellow luggage tags for MDE (that tell them what resort the luggage goes to) or the new reusable character luggage tags? The OP was talking about wanting to get the new character reusable tags they send out as part of booking a package through Disney. It does not appear that they are sent to people with room only reservations (DVC or cash).

Yep. I was also hoping for the luggage tags. It's the only reason I decided to Opt In for new bands instead of using old ones like I usually do.

I was disappointed.

It's new within the past month or so for CRO cash reservations.

I did search my boxes for the DVC sliders, but didnt' get them either. Don't know if they are still sending them out, but I checked anyway.

Luggage tags are for DRC (aka CRO) reservations only. They used to be sent out seperately, now they are color matched to the MagicBands and included with them.

I did search my boxes for the DVC sliders, but didnt' get them either. Don't know if they are still sending them out, but I checked anyway.

The DVC MagicSliders have been discontinued (were for limited time only). They may still have them available at the front desk of the DVC Resorts.

We just stayed at VGF 10/30 - 11/7 and they told us all sliders were sent to SSR and that is the only place you can get them now.

And in total layman's terms, the matchy luggage tags are for *packages* ONLY. Not room only and not dvc points reservations.

It's too bad those with non-packages were expecting them as from their announcement it stated they were for packages.
