Yea I'm that girl who worshipped the sun. When I turned 40 those dark spots starting showing up on my face. I'd love to get a treatment done at the dermatologist but that is not in the budget right now. What is the best over the counter product? Someone mentioned ROC but I went to CVS and they sell many ROC products. So I was unsure which one. Please advise

If you go to the Dermatologist then ask for a prescription for Tri Luma.. It is expensive (About $180.00) but your insurance might cover it. (I paid $9.00)I used it and it took away my sunspots.. The key though is to stay out of the sun as they will come back if you do not have sunscreen on.. Good Luck..

I am on tricare the military insurance. I kinda doubt they will pay for this but I can ask. I am religious about daily sunscreen on my face for the past 5 years

I actually found a laser place very close to my house. It was only $130 and worked AWESOME!!! Disclaimer...it HURTS!! I have a VERY high tolerance for pain and this was not pleasant. Also, it leaves black marks (looks like ink) on the skin where it was lasered for about a week, then flakes off. When it was done..my skin was like BRAND NEW!! Smoothe, beautiful and marks were COMPLETELY gone!! Even with the pain and "ink stained" look for a week...I'd do it again in a HEARTBEAT!!

I use the Clinique Dark Spot Corrector. Its runs btw $50 and $75. I can see a difference and I havent been using that long. Before you buy it I think you can get a two week sample.

Can you be more specific? There are many types of laser treatments. I'd love to get great results for $130.

I did a lot of researching before I chose this option. Went to a specialized dermatologist who's treatment would take approx. 18-24 months and cost nearly $3500!

The laser I got was the Alexandrite Laser, from Zap Laser clinics (I think they're a chain, not sure!). They are licensed to perform the laser procedure but not licensed dermatologists. The price I got was a special (although it seems like they have it regularly) from the original price of $300 which is still pretty affordable.

They allowed me to do a "test spot" to see how the skin would react and what the recovery would look like..I HIGHLY recommend doing this! I was able to understand what I was getting into when I went in for the full treatment. I've included a link below to the center I had mine done at that explains about the procedure. hope it helps!

I also have Tricare.. While most insurances do not pay for it, Tricare did... I did get it at my local pharmacy though and not through the military pharmacy. If you get a script for it you can at least see if it will run at a lower price.. (If you are strictly with the Military's Dr.s and Pharmacy you can at least ask.) It is prescription and works amazing and no pain..

I had some great luck with Oil of Olay products....and compared to most of the other suggestions here, it is affordable!

I used a foaming moisturizer with SPF.... not sure that they even have the same type any more, as I can't find it on the website. But I would have confidence in any of their regenerating moisturizers.

I had a large brown spot (kind of like a freckle out of control) on my cheek. It was noticeably smaller/lighter within just a few months and is now virtually gone. I used the particular product faithfully every day. Now I use a few other OoO products daily. I've used their stuff since college and really like it. I have tried some of the new "Pro-X" products that are much pricier, but can't say that they worked any miracles.... no big complaints or anything, but I'm looking for a face-lift-in-a-bottle! .......................P

I tried the Clinique and it was working nicely, but I started noticing bizarre streaking in my laundry. It took a while to figure out what was wrong, but it was the Clinique product fading anything it touched.
