Dark Rides YOU Want to Happen?

A ride with a Brave theme would be an easy sell. Shooting arrows, bears and a witch.

Maybe it's because I'm not a girly girl. Or maybe it's because I have a son. But I do feel like the parks are way too princess-centric these days. Thankfully, the rides aren't and I hope it stays that way.
I have a son, and a daughter who is not a girly girl. Until I read this I never even thought about the parks being too princess-centric. Lol My 9 year old ds was most in love with our Disney trip. Perhaps because we didn't seek out the princesses? They really seemed to be only a small part of DL.

Man, I deal with that everyday....commute traffic, co workers and a manager.

:faint:

I love Maelstrom at WDW, wish they would add something like that, only updated, at DL. I think it would be "cool" to do something with Frozen, which would be very popular in the heat.

In my mind, Walt Disney's masterpiece was Mary Poppins. I think it is downright criminal that there is no Mary Poppins attraction! A dark ride, in which you ride a carousel horse into the chalk drawing, would be wonderful.

Tangled would be a fun ride to go on. They could do a sim liar thing to Spider-Man or transformers and make you feel like your going down the tower.

I agree, wish they would do something with Mary Poppins! We just watched "Saving Mr. Banks" on video this week; it was great! I had no idea of the story behind that movie.

Another movie we just watched on video (again) is Narnia. DH happened to notice it was a Disney movie, which I never realized. That would be a great dark ride! The queen/witch and the snow would be awesome.

There has been some rumors of Maelstrom actually be replaced with a Frozen theme. I would love to see something like that in Fantasyland but the idea of it going in the World Showcase seems like an odd fit.

A Narnia ride at DL might be cool as long as they don't bring over the Journey into Narnia "attraction" (or opposite of attraction, would it be a "repulsion") from DHS.

I mean, it's nice we've got the Jolly Holiday Cafe to remind us of Mary, but seriously, she needs a dark ride!

I was just discussing this with my Dgf and she mentioned that doing a dark ride where you started off in black and white with Mickey in Steamboat Willie and slowly transitioned into color.

No idea where it would go- but it has the potential to be really cool.
