Which Disney stories would you want to be made into a Dark Ride style like Snow White, Peter Pan, etc. The Little Mermaid is sorta a dark ride but not really I don't think?

I love Radiator Springs Racer, but I wish Cars had another, more traditional, dark ride without a height limit... My son would love Radiator Springs Racer, but he is still too small.

i would like a moon/space themed dark ride, or a hercules ride.

I believe Frozen has some great potential as a dark ride. I can already feel the fans and AC for a blizzard effect. The 'cars' would naturally be sleds. The entrance theming would fit right in with Fantasyland. And the ice castle could be the grand finale.

Looking at other properties, not nearly enough has been done with Star Wars. You could make a great dark ride as a visit to planets of the series. Hoth, Dagobah and, although more like a small moon than a planet, the Deathstar.

Marvel is another underused property. I have mixed feelings about Disney and Star Wars/Marvel, but if you got 'em, you might as well make the most of them. Tell me there is not an untapped potential for a gentle ride for young super hero fans.

I always thought Bambi would make a good smaller dark ride.

I'd love to see 101 Dalmatians. The film atmosphere seems suited for a dark ride and Cruella is a great villain.

I would love to see nbc/hmh overlay turned into its own, separate (From the HM) attraction. Maybe somewhere in DCA or in Fantasyland.

Frozen for sure. It should be a dark ride that starts slow and then turns into a "faster" sled type ride down the hill when the monster from Elsa's castle is chasing you, and then end a bit slower with the "resolution".

(I actually wonder if they'll turn Maelstrom at Epcot into a Frozen themed ride at some point - but there is plenty of room at DLR to put in a whole new attraction).

I've been thinking how pretty a Tangled ride could be with the lanterns scene. I haven't thought through the rest, but keep seeing that boat lantern scene... You could incorporate a drop, too, if you wanted (from their snugly duckling escape).

From the older movies, I would vote for a Robin Hood or Rescuers ride.
From the "modern" movies, I would vote for a Lilo & Stitch or Beauty and Beast ride.
From the "Pixar" movies, I'd vote for a Ratatouille or Wall-E ride. (I know DLP is getting a Ratatouille ride...so maybe there is hope for the USA parks.)

Love these three ideas. :thumbsup2

If you mean Dark as anything indoors, then I'll go with Tron. Anything Tron would be great to me. How nothing has been around since they had the Peoplemover taking folks through a giant Tron movie scene is a mystery. It has such a cult following that people would pay just to do the Tron ride.

If you mean a slow moving story-ride for Dark Ride, then I'd go with Aladdin. It could be like Peter Pan in that you're flying around on a Magic Carpet. Nothing like the WDW-Dumbo-wannabe. I mean a good story told while flying above Agrabah.

Aladdin would make a great Peter Pan-style dark ride, either through the Cave of Wonders, or the magic carpet "A Whole New World" montage.

DH wants a Beauty and the Beast ride. I concur!

There are many old films that never enjoyed theme park exposure, but I feel like it's too late to add some of them as they have lost their original popularity. I think both Frozen and Wreck it Ralph have potential to do some really cool stuff. I also feel like there's not enough Hercules and Mulan at Disney parks. Even the Lion King could have more presence.

I've always thought that a magic carpet roller coaster through the Cave of Wonders would be really cool, but that's not a traditional "dark ride".

I would adore a Princess and the Frog dark ride over in New Orleans Square.

Yes to both of these!

I am personally a huge Mulan fan (she's my favorite princess who is really not a princess ;)) but she doesn't seem to ever get any love. I just adore her, and I really push her on my little girls. Lol. She's just so strong compared to the usual princess fluff.

I also have always wondered about the lack of a Lion King attraction as that film was a huge hit and is still popular.

I agree that Aladdin would be good for either a Pan-style flight through the Whole New World song or a fast paced ride through the cave of wonders (coaster, coaster/projection hybrid?)

I wouldn't see Stitch getting something in a Disney park that didn't involve getting belched on.

It has always struck me as odd that the Lion King doesn't have more of a presence, given how big it was when it came out.

From the Pixar end of things, I think an Incredibles ride would be cool, though it might lend itself to something more fast paced.

While not exactly new, I would love for Pooh to be replaced by Pooh's Hunny Hunt.

Yeah, I think that's the problem with Stitch's Alien Encounter ride over in the MK. Many folks have come to see Stitch as the cute, pet-like alien that you see at the end of the movie and in the cartoon series opposed to the less than likable version he was at the start of the original movie. Sigh...I'll just have to settle for the tiny bit of Lilo & Stitch in IaSW.
