DAP Vinylmation Trading

So, it took me awhile, but I caved and am officially addicted to Vinylmation. I don't love them all though. I'm focusing on the clear and park series right now. I'm also trying to get my hands in the holiday series.

I was wondering if anyone who is attending DAP would be interested in trading at some point over the weekend. I figure we can use this thread to advertise what we have and are looking for.

Anyone want to trade? I have a clear orange that I'd like to swap for a different clear or a park series figure.

I have seen these. Can you please explain to me why you didn't know what you were getting? The ones I've seen are sitting on a shelf. Do they have "mystery" ones that you can buy?

The ones on the shelf are usually not for sale...just display.

When you buy one, the box is sealed and the Mickey is sealed in a foil bag. You dont know what you get until you pay for it and open it.

The only wa to know what you are gettin is to trade or buy an entire box ($249.00 believe).

Lmao So we have another orange for trade. I'm realllyyy getting into these things. I am loving them just as much as my pins. I'm so mad at myself for not getting a full set of the new holiday ones when I had a chance a few weeks ago. Still, picking a box and not knowing what one you will get is half the fun. The trading is too.

Kevin, go buy more so we can see what you get. I need to live vicariously through you until I can clear them out during DAP. Lmao

Nicole, it's becoming huge. They just started doing official artist signing events and figure trading nights like with the pins. I missed one by a few days. There's also going to be a signing Dec. 18 right after DAP. Grrr.

I adore the holiday set! I so need to get my hands on these little buggers!!!

I bought the big one. The one that you know what you are buying. I'm not into mystery and chance. Trading isn't a strong point with me either. If I like it and I want it, then I want to buy it. Not have to buy eight different ones to find the one I want. I had enough of that kind of treasure hunting with McDonald's Happy Meals and Kellogg's Cereal as a kid. So I will stick to my 9" ones that hog space. Perhaps if I get a nice bonus at the end of the year I will order the complete set for the Disney Store. That set comes with 24 pieces, so there are bound to be doubles.

They sold one around halloween in a tin, for 12.95 that you knew was a candy corn. That's the only one I have. I liked some of the holiday ones but not enough of them that I'm willing to take the chance.

They did make vinylmation holiday pins, sold in a box of two. I bought one box when I was there in October, when I was back last week, they were sold out.

So, I won't be much help either.

I got a big holiday one. I almost got the candy corn one, but didn't like the paint job. It looked very messy and unfinished to me.

Hmmm maybe we could use the extra orange ones to make DISUnplugged vinyls!

Crap, another addiction. If my daughter sees these she's going to want them. She takes after me, she loves to collect stuff. I've seen these online only. Really want to see them in person. Or do I? I think I'm asking for trouble.

Molly and I collected the clear ones when we were across !! I wanted the red white and black one for my Mickey bathroom !!! I think between us we nearly got the whole set with only a couple of doubles.

She got a couple for her birthday today too

OMG, I sooo felt the pull toward those things. The thing that stopped me (which should have been the money and the realization that a pin addiction was a big enough problem, lol) was thinking about where I would store them. They don't fit into little bags or binders as easily as the pins do. I didn't buy them when they first came out and have stayed away.

I see them in the stores and immediately look away. They call my name, "Kali...kaligal...come here...look...buy..." but I don't go near for fear of being sucked into another vortex.

I didn't even buy the pins that look like them...but I think I'm going to start.

I have an extra teacups from park series 1 that I could trade you I'm not going to DAP but I will be staying at Disney that weekend. I even bought the vinylmation from the D23 convention it was pretty cool and that came in a tin. Let me know if you're interested.
