I got my hair cut and durring the "look down" part I noticed she had on the cutest shoes ever!! They were Dansko clogs... I've searched them online and they are way outta my budget but oooh so cute.. so tell me what you know about them and any discounts anywhere?????

I love mine. I have major foot issues, mine are wide and thick and I have trouble finding shoes to fit. These are wonderful! Not only do they fit, I can wear them comfortably all day and they have a heel!!! I actually cried in the shoe store when I found them!

Yes they are expensive, but since I was down to wearing Crocs or mens shoes, they are well worth the money to find something cute, comfortable and NOT mens shoes to wear!

I wear a 4EEEE in mens shoes, so you can imagine trying to find a womens shoe that fits!!!

I wore Danskos for years, and loved them. And then I fell off them one day and broke my foot. Now I'm terrified to try again. But they are wonderful shoes and last for years.

Footprints.com sometimes has good deals on them, either on discontinued styles/colors or on "seconds".

I have gotten new ones on ebay at a discount. I am a dankso addict. On my feet all day and they are awesome.

I love Dansko and have to agree with PP, they are expensive, but they last a really long time. I'm new to the brand, but I have friends with shoes that they've had for years.

They're great for my rigid arches.

It's a small price to pay for comfortable feet, legs, back.

Yes, really well made shoes that last for years. They run in Euro sizes, so try on at a B&M store if you order online. I have lots of good luck shopping thru ebates.com, fatwallet.com, or bing.com/cashback. Shoebuy, onlineshoes, 6pm, even Amazon has good shoes. Cashback varies by the online store, so check and see who carries Dansko and do the work. I just received a pair of shoes that I "had to have" and did several google searches for coupon codes for any store that might carry them. I wound up getting 25% cashback thru Bing.com, at a site that does free shipping & free returns, no sales tax. Whoo hoo! happy shopping!

I have a pair of Dansko boots, that I bought on sale (and unfortunately are no longer manufactured). I have worn these daily in the winter for nearly 6 years and they still look and feel great.

I highly recommend the quality of these shoes.

I bought a few pairs of Dansko's several years ago, but they didn't work for my feet. I think I still have them sitting in the basement as a matter of fact. I love my Haflinger sheepskin clog slippers though. They are so warm and comfy.

I'm still looking at websites, may hit the mall and actually try on a pair next weekend.. they just looked so cute!! thanks for all the replies, sounds like they are gonna be about $100 no matter which way I would look...

I know they are a lot of $, but I LOVE my Dansko clogs! They are the only shoe I can wear in the winter (summers are for my Birks). I'm thinking of trying one of their non-clog styles this winter, just to have a different shoe to wear.

They really do last for years. I've had my current pair for about 5 years, and I still wear my old pair (a camel color so not as versitile) that are about 10 years old.

I am a nurse and a lot of my coworkers wear dansko clogs.(red patent leather, leopard print, etc). They are great for standing but are heavy so my legs get tired walking. You have to make sure you buy them roomy enough- you should be able to fit a finger in the back of the shoe- they are supposed to be loose. I am trying to break in my 3rd pair,I bought them on impulse at a uniform sale at work.I was able to split the cost over 3 paydays. I am good on 1st day but after 2-3 12 hour shifts in the ICU I am taking the Motrin for achy legs. I also feel like I am going to fall off of them. I am sure if I perservere this pair will be the the ticket. At least that is what I told my husband when he rolled his eyes at my 3rd pair of dansko's.;)

I have a pair of Dansko and then have an oiled pair from LL Bean that are just has comfortable and only ran me around $70. I love them both the same, the oiled ones look very beat, but are great for weekend wear, my other pair are dressier and I wear them with my work pants. A couple times a year a vendor comes into our hospital and we get a 10% discount and if you are a gift shop card holder you get another 10% off, so that's the time of year I get them.

As a previous poster said that she fell off them, I can understand how that happens because I have occasionally rolled my foot in them and it can hurt.

I definitely recommend buying them instore if you can. Each shoe has its own unique feel and when i was fitted for mine, I had to try on 5 pairs before I found the perfect pair. The left shoe came from one box and the right shoe came from another box.

Well worth the price. I have worn mine out and I have had them forever:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
