Dane, Farrah, Heath & Javens "dreaming" of dreams TR 8/30-9/6*UPDATE pg 28 9/28*

Having the car is a bonus, BUT flying is so convenient.

I've done Magical Express a few times now and it really is convenient. You just tag your bags and check them and they just Magically show up at your room. doing resort check in and not having to cart all your backs on your return flight is nice as well...

The extra time you gain is really worth it.....and you won't be as tired both coming and going....

It's all a matter of personal choice. If you're driving the van (did I remember that right). You figure how much it'll cost you in gas....maybe around 350-400 dollars in gas.

You would have to book rather soon however.....

954 is not bad......

Hey Farrah, here's what I found:

It would be cheaper for you all if you left on Saturday, but then you'd have to get another night in a hotel. For the flight on August 31, there were a bunch of other ones at the same price, I just picked the one that got you there earliest. I got these prices off Air Tran's website. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here's another one. I wouldn't wait. It seems that the nonstop flights are booking up.

ETA: There's also a nonstop flight that leaves at 7 a.m., but you might want to call them to find out if they have any seats left on it.

Not trying to worry anyone but isn't AirTran the one that sometimes changes peoples flights at the last minute?

-nat

Oh - and don't forget parking at the airport in the budget. We've used the Tiger lot (they have a shuttle bus) and some offsite places that shuttle you in. Let me know if you need help with this!

LOL- SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!! We are thinking about doing the same thing!!:lmao:
We go to talk to the genetics doctor on Thursday, he will then direct us to a specialist in Indianapolis and we can see what the chances are of having another child born with Cleft lip and palate - then we will decide from there! Pretty exciting stuff!:goodvibes If we do, IT BETTER BE A GIRL! LOL

Oh my gosh!!!!!! That is so cool!!! Well, I hope everything goes good for you!!! I will cross my fingers for a girl!!!

DOING THE HAPPY DANCE!!

We just paid off our trip today!!:cool1:  :goodvibes
Wilderness Lodge, here we come!!
Now I just have to save our gas money to get to and from Orlando and the SPENDING MONEY!:cloud9:

That is awesome!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I think I have heard that, but I really am not sure cause I never keep up to date on that stuff...this is my first time ever looking into a flight
Those are the same Northwest flights we're on (8/30 and 9/6), and we paid $257 each. That's a great deal for nonstop!

I'd book it ASAP...
Man, I know, I want that flight BUT I dont have a place to stay that noght since our package doesnt start untill the 31st and I only have 600.00 saved right now for flights so Im waiting on a paycheck-- so frustrated!
Oh - and don't forget parking at the airport in the budget. We've used the Tiger lot (they have a shuttle bus) and some offsite places that shuttle you in. Let me know if you need help with this!
Didnt know about that- thanks Betsy!:thumbsup2

You to sister! let me know if you are successful-R U hoping for a boy, or girl, or does it matter??

You to sister! let me know if you are successful-R U hoping for a boy, or girl, or does it matter??

Well, it doesnt' really matter, BUT I would prefer a girl. Even though Hollie is only 3 1/2 years old, I have 12 of those huge plastic containers full of clothes. Half of them still have tags on them, so they would come in handy!!:lmao: But, I know I can't be selfish and just hope for a girl for that reason. Although, I ask Hollie if she would like to have a little brother or sister, and she says a little sister so she can name her Hannah Montana!!:rotfl2:

Really, Im suprised...I thought you would say you wanted a boy. Only because you have a girl.
I am hoping for a girl but I will be happy no matter what- oh and hey if I have a girl and you have a boy, Ill just buy those girl clothes from ya :lmao: :thumbsup2

Hey, thats a deal!!!! :lmao: I always said I wanted a boy and a girl, but I would just take whatever was given to me! Everyone who has boys always says that boys just love their mamas and girls love their daddys!

:goodvibes Hi Sorry I have been MIA. It is a rain day here so I am trying to play catch up. I am so busy in the summer.

You are so lucky to be staying at WL. I would love to stay there some day.
As for flying vs. driving. We drove last year for the first time. I love to fly, but Dh doesn’t enjoy it. If you can get a good fare I would fly. We had a cruise planned this year. Due to the price of gas and air fare so high, we have put it on the back burner till March for Dh's 40th birthday. I am bummed. But I can not justify spending $1000.00 to fly to Miami.
I love danes new tat! Boy he sure must spend some could be disney funds on them!!!!!

Good luck with the flight planning. We always fly (obviously--even if gas wasn't $4+ per gallon, driving 3,000 miles isn't realistic), but I've always dreamed of driving, at least to DL. I'd probably change my mind after 2 hours in the car with my kids, though, LOL.

Wilderness Lodge--so exciting! Are you doing free dining or did you find a better deal with the new codes, since you're going deluxe?

OT--skateboarding question for you, since you mentioned your boys are into it. Does Javen skateboard yet? My ds is about to turn 5, and he wants a skateboard more than anything. But I know absolutely nothing about them, other than the ones I've seen at KB Toys, which are probably not very good. Any recommendations?

See you at the GLOW party!

This is true-- I do have a couple mammas boys

I really think i wanna fly, I just need to come up with the $$ :)
The portrait tattoos did use some of our Disney funds, BUT they were worth it :) The ship and the flower was free tho-- Dane had done some painting in the tattoo shop in exchange for some tattoos.:thumbsup2

We are using a different code that saved us more $, Ithought about swititching my dates AGAIN, and goping to WL during the first of DEC since we are not using the FD BUT i would miss my dis friends so I can t do that.;)

as far as the skateboards go, I would reccomend you go to CCS . com, there you can bulid your own board (or just order one already together), but it really wont be any safer of a skateboard, the only difference is the qaulity...Dane has always reccommeded independent trucks, and ANY board in the CCS catalog will be a good one, even the cheaper CCS brands are better than a toy store board..If you have any other questions about skatboarding or building a board feel free to PM me anytime.
Alos 5 is a fine age to skateboard, Javen was skating at 3...I was a bad mom and didnt make him wear pads but they are ALWAYS suggested and are a good idea to keep your lil guy safe. I have included a couple photos of javen with his boards--- just cause they make me smile :)

The shiner was from bumping head with his brother- had nothing to do with the skateboard -- just so you know LOL

Thanks for the CCS tip and the clarification about the black eye. I would have kind of wondered about that, LOL. I can't believe how little he was--such a cutie! Tried to order the CCS catalog, but that function seems to be down, so I'll try again tomorrow.

:confused3 woops posted twice, new to the whole "blogging this":scared:

HI! Just found your PRTR today! I can say you have two of the cutest kids on the dis.I am so jealous that you guys are staying at WL, you guys will have a blast. As far as your plane tickets go, I would buy them ASAP. We book'ed our flights in Feb. for our upcoming late Sept. trip and the prices went up almost $100 from where I am from! Dont worry about flying, once you fly once you will never drive again! Just watch out for those extra baggage fees, we like to fed-ex most of our stuff the week before hand to the resort so we dont have to pack alot of stuff. Its awesome that you and your family open your home to foster children, its great people like you that give kids a chance when they wouldnt normally get one!!! Good luck on your Adoption and hope your "baby making scheme" after your trip is fun :rotfl: Hope your fourth of july is going well and im looking forward to reading the rest of your PTR and your TR!
=)JU
