RIP, Len. He must have known something about his health when he announced his retirement. Sad day for DWTS fans. Even if he was Mr. Grumpy Pants he was OUR Mr. Grumpy Pants.

I just found out about Len's passing on the news. It said he had a battle with bone cancer. So, it's likely he did know. I'm glad he got to spend his last months with his family.

He knew the night he signed off on DWTS. Makes it even sadder.

Yes, but I don't think he wanted to make a sad occasion out of the show. It's barely squeaking by as it is. And I think he actually thought of the show. By "retiring" no one has the sad spot of "filling in" the spot he left by dying. Instead, the show goes on with 3 jusges, and if later on they add a fourth, it's still not "filling in" the slot.

It never made sense that DWTS was on Disney+. It would have made more sense if it had moved to Hulu.
