I'm giving my votes to Ryan too. It must have been hard to get up there after all the negative press but he did it and I think the way he was treated was awful.

I thought Marilu was good but I expected her to run away with it, so once again we learn that Broadway dancing doesn't always translate to ballroom dancing.

I was surprised by the race car driver, he was good.

Jana & Gleb were steamy! My husband enjoyed it!

I'm old fashioned, I want women to have hair, is there a reason Amber shaves her head? I love Maks but don't know about Amber, maybe she'll grow on me.

I thought Maureen should have gotten all 6's, give her some encouragement, not easy doing that at 60!

I think Laurie will be there at the end. I think Len was dissing Shawn Johnson a little.

I felt bad for Ryan & Cheryl, the ballroom was no place for that. He has accepted his punishment so give him the second chance that everyone gave Phelps.

Other then the rap music I enjoyed the show.

I didn't see it--but what I note is that former professional dancers who have aged aren't as limber and good with the moves as they used to be. I did not have high expectations for her.

. . . Although, for the FIRST Week, (last nite,) the rules did say on the website that voting was supposed to go to 8pm. So, someone at ABC screwed up and closed voting early.

Also, no one under 18 or any international voters anymore. Not sure how they can really regulate the under 18 thing, since all people have to write is that they are over 18. As for international voters, probably people have to allow the app to find their real location - so all the irate Brazilians in Brazil can't vote. . . just the ones here.

I thought she'd run away with it too. I thought she'd have kept herself limber. It may have been that she was just tense & nervous, being the first dance, and that made her moves short & choppy. And the jive is a very hard dance for the first one. She obviously remembered all the moves, so we'll see what Derek can do with her. She did well, being the first to dance. But, there are definitely other stars who later showed they were more limber and can also move.

I saw a clip on ABC Niteline, last night, (or whatever it is called nowadays, after Jimmy Kimmel.) They showed a segment when the two guys came on stage. They were moving slowly, walking, so it didn't look like they were rushing forward to punch Ryan. More likely, they were trying to find which camera was on, so they could be filmed shouting & protesting at Ryan, the same way that one woman in the audience was shouting "Liar! Liar!" at Ryan. Even Carrie Ann had time to tell one of the guys, at least TWICE to "Step back," and move off stage as she thought someone had just walked on stage to address Ryan, so the two men weren't in a hurry to tackle Ryan and pummel him. The security guards moved much faster, running on stage to tackle the two.

I am NOT saying what they did was right or acceptable, just that, to me, it didn't appear that they were going to be violent with him, thank goodness. Still, it must have been so frightening for everyone, to have the two guys come out of the blue and NOT know what their intentions were.

I'll make sure to vote earlier next time. I didn't finish watching the show until my phone voting period was over.

As for Lochte ... One thing to remember about him is that he sustained a very serious knee injury 3 years ago by being tackled by a teen fan. He would be quite shaken by anyone advancing on him in an aggressive manner. So it's more than just the hate, but the physical threat too.

Not really feeling bad for lochte. He made some really bad choices and left his friends out to dry for a few days. Not a fan. He made his bed now he has to lie in it.
Would I run up on stage to yell liar in his face? No
Based on the video I saw from the gas station, it seems like he can handle himself.

No one really shouldn't be doing the Quickstep for the second week. Too fast & too complicated. It's one of those dances that one can't fake their way through with a lot personality and acting a character.
