Hello!

I'm not engaged YET, but I like to dream! About DISNEY!

I had a question about receptions. My favourite part of weddings is the reception... the dinner and the dancing! The best dances last all night!

I was wondering if a later reception with dances into all hours is possible... and still keeping costs low....

Thank you!! :listen:

Our ceremony is at 7:30 and our reception will start around 8:30/9, because we are having our reception inside MGM. If I understood our SM correctly, our reception really won't be over until 12 or 1 am. I dont know if that is as late as you are talking about, but hope that helps!

I know this may be a personal questions... but is the price reasonable to have a such a late function??

the time of your ceremony really doesn't matter. Park receptions are more expensive sometimes because of venue fees.
If you want your party to be later you can always pay to add additional hours on...but then you must also pay for more music..and well you get the picture.

Or you can just take your party out on the town...one option is the Atlantic Dance Hall...your party must end at 8--but your group can wait upstairs, watch the fireworks at 9 (it took us almost that long to get everyone upstairs and out of the clean up crews way) and then come back down and just share your party with the public and a cash bar (there is a way to give everyone a bracelet and still pay for their drinks...)
OR what we did was to watch the fireworks and then head down to pleasure island and close the place down:):)

I had an 8 PM vow renewal ceremony inside the Wedding Pavilion. It was followed by a private dinner party at the "Great Movie Ride" inside the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park. After dinner, everyone moved outdoors for a dance party beneath the Sorcerer's Hat icon. We danced until 2 AM when a custom fireworks display signaled the end of our magical night.

As you can see, anything is possible at Walt Disney World. ;)

Hi there.

Yes, you can practically dance until dawn if you wish. As our FTW rep. told us, everything's available for a price. My lovely bride and I will be doing a 20th anniversary vow renewal in October this year. Forty family members are coming for the event. We have chosen the following itinerary:

SeaBreeze Point for the ceremony at 4PM.
The Attic in Boardwalk for the reception with a string quartet from 5PM-8PM.
Dessert Party at Italy Isola from 8:30-9:30.
Dancing with a DJ in the Italy courtyard in the pavillion from 10PM-2PM.

Just praying for no rain with all but the reception outdoors.

Total cost for all rental sites......... well nevermind. ;)
