Dancing CRASHES the game?!

I waited half an hour to get into the Easy maze, my first one...

As soon as I got in I started dancing for joy at finally getting in...

CL_Nedakh said, "Don't dance or do magic, you'll crash the game." So I tried to stop, but clicking the Dance button didn't stop, my character kept dancing...

And then I got a message saying my connection was lost!

I logged right back in and now I'm at the end of a 288-person line again!!

Dancing CRASHES THE GAME?! I *never* heard this before!

it is my experience that if everyone in a full room uses magic or dances, the room slows down considerably. I have heard that one of the reasons the magic carpet has not come out is because it slows a room down too much to be practical, and if several were in a room it would be seriously bad juju. Consider, then, the huge lines to enter these maze rooms, and how often people lose connection and how much slow down and stuttering motion is already occurring... the additional strain of dancing and magic would just make things uglier than they already are... as far as crashing the room, I dunno...sounds like some kind of resource allocation problem to me. Then again, I don't believe in yavn, so what do I know?
