that is tough.... Do you think they know you are trying to help them? I remember when my DH had to give one of ours fluid everyday, and it was hard.. I think she knew if was supposed to help her. I don't know.

I'm feeling a little better. I'm gonna make it. Gotta keep going, what else can one do. I don't have time to be sick. I gotta do some shopping tonight for b day gifts for my nephew and my dad, because I am supposed to see them tomorrow. My DDs want to get their ears double pierced. so I told them I would take them. My DD13 says well,,, if I ask for my belly button pierced then she will say ok to the ears.... in comparison.. not so bad. I need a vacation.

Any opinions on the new pope?

My DD13 asked last year for an eyebrow piercing or snakebites. This year, she's very happy I said no way because she has already changed her mind. I said ears are fine, but nothing on the face until you are older and in the work world because there aren't many jobs you can have with facial piercings.


Today we are having my DD's 7th birthday party. Her birthday is next week. We're doing it at a pottery painting place. On Wednesday, I thought no one was going since I had no RSVP's. But the next day, 7 people RSVP'd. Phew. I will RSVP early from now on to avoid the parents having to sweat it out.

Mean Queen -- I don't envy you those birthday parties! Ugh. Never been my thing. We did a few "parties" when the boys were younger, but I think girl parties trump boy parties any day!! Hope it's fun!

Well, despite what it looks like outside my window, and the forecast for early next week ( ), the Red-Wing Blackbirds are back, I heard geese going by the other night, and each morning I'm hearing more songbirds. So I know spring is not far away!! The spring-cleaning bug has bitten me and I'm wanting to go nuts in here..... besides actual cleaning I want to finally get rid of the boxes that I've relegated to various corners for later going-through, I want to put some paint on the walls and get rid of most of this neutral vanilla, and finally put some window treatments up and make this house look "finished." It's also time to start planning my garden! That is where I am just loving Pinterest -- so many great ideas!

Let's see, what else.... Oh, my dad continues to improve! This last visit was such an improvement over the one in January, and that was great to see. DH and DS13 are going down next month for a short visit and will drive my dad's truck back up here (he's give up driving... ), and then I am going back at the very end of May with DS16. That will have given all three boys a separate trip to see Grandpa. If I can swing it money-wise, DS16 would like to do a day at Universal Studios. I've been researching it and it looks fun! We'll have to pick one park, though, and jury's still out on that. That's going to be the first trip to my dad's where I have to rent a car, too! Weird. Good thing I know how to navigate in and out of the airport.

Snow day here today, too (including me from work....not so good). We've already got about 6" and they're calling for another 6-10 today. DONE. Looks like DH is also home, but he'll have to make the trek to his parent's house to snow-blow the driveway (FIL can't do anything like that anymore; they had a plow guy, who just stopped showing up about 2 storms ago. Nice.).

Well, it's a good day to work on my puzzle, read, and make pizza for dinner.
